Flute lessons for every level in German, English or SpanishTranslate this text using Google Translate.

The most important thing for me is to create a pleasant and motivating atmosphere in which the focus is on making music. I am convinced that the best way to learn the flute is to play the music you enjoy playing. The lessons are based on making music together, giving you the tools to practice at home in a fun and efficient way. Lessons can be given in German, English, or Spanish. No prior knowledge is required. I will do my best to tailor the lessons to your wishes and needs. About me: Nicolás is a flautist from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied flute with Patricia Da Dalt at the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Manuel de Falla" and graduated with honors in 2020. In 2021, he moved to Switzerland to continue his musical studies. He first completed a Master's degree in Music Performance at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts with Sarah Rumer, and then a Master's degree in Music Education at the Zurich University of the Arts with Silvia Careddu, which he also completed with honors. He is a prize winner of national and international competitions, including 1st prize at the International Competition «La Flauta Latinoamericana», 2nd prize at the National Competition for Classical Music «Dr. Tilo Rajneri», and 1st prize at the 1st Flute Competition of the Conservatorio Superior de Música «Manuel de Falla». Between 2024 and 2025, he played second flute and piccolo in the Collegium Musicum Basel, and since 2025 he has been the principal flutist of this orchestra. He also regularly performs as a guest musician with various orchestras in Switzerland. In addition to his orchestral work, he is also active as a teacher: he teaches at the Weinfelden Music School, the Schaffhausen Cantonal Music School, and the Untersee and Rhine Music School, and also gives private lessons.

It doesn’t matter your age or level — beginners, advanced students, and adults are all welcome. I love helping students discover the joy of playing music. My lessons are adapted to each student’s goals, level, and musical interests, combining structure with flexibility. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment based on patience, curiosity, and motivation. About me: My name is Uma and I am originally from Spain. I have been living in The Hague for the past five years. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Flute in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Zürich, I recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Early Music and historical flutes at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching approach. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience and enjoy encouraging curiosity while adapting lessons to each student’s interests and needs. All ages and levels are welcome, and I strive to make learning music both structured and fun. Violin, Flute and Solfeggio lessonsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

VIOLIN: My lessons cover several aspects necessary for good violin playing and free musical expression: healthy body posture, stable technique, attentive listening, musicality, personal development. It is from these notions that the quality of sound, intonation, bowing technique, technical skill, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire. TRANSVERSE FLUTE: My lessons cover several aspects necessary for good playing of the transverse flute and free musical expression: healthy body posture, stable technique, attentive listening, musicality, personal development. It is from these notions that the quality of sound, digital and respiratory technique, intonation, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire. SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

I contacted Uma after a big musical break. She has the patience and the smile that will give you confidence to (re)start playing the flute, whatever your level is. Ask her anything and she will always try to answer, propose a new piece and adapt to your needs. If you are interested, she can introduce you to baroque music, the main topic of her studies.

Had a very good experience on the first lesson. John really tries to find a way to make things clear and is very helpful and invested as a teacher. Already looking forward to the next lesson.

Amazing teacher with positive energy! Encouraging the students to learn, giving feedback about the body posture as well and very caring. Excellent professional flute teacher and kind soul.
