I SPECIALIZE IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH

Spanish is an important language to learn worldwide. Did you know that Spanish is the 3rd most powerful language in the entire world and it's the official language in 21 countries? I didn't! I just googled it. But can you imagine learning to speak it with a native speaker by improving your pronunciation and fluency? I'll tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Chile, the longest country in the world. I went to the USA for an exchange student year and I realized how fast I could learn and improve my English by getting exposed to the native language constantly. It even happened the same when I moved to Italy and I learned to speak Italian in less than a year! So, that got me thinking... I could teach Spanish only by speaking it. There are people interested out there and I hope you are one them. Let's give it a try!

In 2001, I completed a BA Honours degree in Communication through UNISA. I furthered my academic qualifications by obtaining a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Pretoria in 2008, followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from UNISA in 2016. In 1984, I was appointed resident pianist at the Performing Arts Council of the Transvaal (PACT), where I worked closely with the ballet department and regularly performed with orchestras and ensembles. Since 2004, I have been deeply involved in music education, teaching piano, music as a subject, music theory, and harmony. I have earned multiple certificates and awards in recognition of my outstanding contribution to music theory education. I have been teaching music as a subject from grade 8 – 12. My professional appointments have also included serving as a matric moderator and marker for the Department of Education.
