I've been teaching saxophone and flute for about 30 years. I studied in Paris and New York with some of the greatest saxophonists, including the great master Barry Harris. Over time, I've developed a pleasant and effective method. I also teach the Alexander Technique, a very effective tool for learning to play with minimal effort. I teach classes for all levels and styles, although I specialize in teaching jazz improvisation.

I offer lessons to all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to those more advanced. Typical lessons last from 30 minutes to an hour. All of my lessons are tailored to meet the exact needs and preferences of my students, whether that's working towards their next graded exam, playing just for fun, and anything in between. I hold a first class honours degree in Classical Flute from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I studied with Ian Clarke and Philippa Davies, and won the Needlemaker's Woodwind Prize. After graduating in 2022, I was invited to become a Guildhall School Junior Fellow, specialising in Flute and Composition. As a freelance flautist, I have had the privilege of performing at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Concert Hall and the Southbank Centre. My performance experience encompasses a diverse range of settings, from live radio broadcasts to collaborations with dance and art installations, reflecting my versatility as a musician, and openness to help my students pursue their own personal journey, both within music and as an individual in general. In addition to my passion for the flute, I am also an accomplished composer with a portfolio of commissioned works premiering at renowned venues and exhibitions worldwide. Notable highlights include composing for Wessel Flutes, Berlin Fashion Week, Nxt Museum (Amsterdam), and Adidas Y-3. My work as a composer heavily influences my approach to teaching. Beyond emphasising technical proficiency and a solid grasp of music theory, I am dedicated to nurturing creativity in all of my students.

Jordi teaches flute at beginner and conservatory levels. His teaching is flexible and is based on Jordi's own experience in creating music, and has a prepared teaching program for all levels, but input from students is always welcome. I am a classical musician with over 15 years of professional experience, both in Portugal and abroad. I am a professional flutist with over 5 years of experience in teaching. I have worked with people aged 5 to 75 and taught in five different languages: English, German, Ukrainian, Polish, and French. I hold a pedagogical qualification from the Academy of Music in Krakow, where I obtained a Master's degree with distinction in flute performance. Recently, I graduated from the Conservatoire Royal de Liège, where I earned a specialized Master's degree in flute and piccolo. With my help, my students have become first prize winners in competitions like the renowned "Jugend musiziert" in Germany. They have also prepared for playing in youth orchestras such as Das Bayerische Landesjugendorchester or worked on repertoire for different kinds of concerts. As a teacher, I am very flexible and always strive to adapt to the needs of my students. I am passionate about the flute and music in general, and I greatly enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.

I was principal flute at the National Philharmonic Orchestra in Warsaw (Poland) and have over 45 years of experience teaching repertoire, solo, chamber music and orchestra. Over the years I have developed my method of Conscious Flute Playing, which has allowed me and my students to make the flute sing as we wish. Thanks to this we can learn music theory passively as we go through the pieces. There is also the opportunity to participate in student concerts in Brussels twice a year (December and June).
