I teach piano, both classical and popular music, and music theory. I teach technique, repertoire, music theory applied to the keyboard and how to read sheet music. I particularly enjoy teaching how music works: why a certain chord progression works, the patterns behind the melodies, and the structure of a song or a piece. I think all that trains our ears to understand the music better and enjoy it even more. But if you want to go straight to playing without caring too much about that stuff, I can of course adapt to that. I also teach Music Theory as an isolated subject. In those lessons, I teach starting from basic concepts like the notes, the scales, the different rhythmic values; to more advanced stuff like harmonic analysis of complex pieces.
