Hello there, I am Eline and am a London based Belgian soprano. Over five years ago my passion for music brought me to London. It is at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama that I obtained a Master and Advanced Certificate in opera studies. Highlights in my previous and forthcoming engagements are at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, LSO St. Luke’s, St. John’s Smith Square, the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne. As a teacher I have experience in both private teaching and in school settings. I taught singing, piano, Music Theory and Aural Training in both 1-1 and groups, to ages 7 and onwards. I'm a jazz and pop singer and pianist with over 10 years of teaching experience. I have worked on the cruise ships as well as in various concert halls and with live musicians. I have studied Jazz Performance in Rimon School of Music (Berklee School of Music affiliate program in Israel). My teaching method is based on Estill Voice Training (isolated muscles control) and understanding that there is no such thing as good or bad, beautiful or ugly sound. Every sound is beautiful if it is healthy and allows you to sustain your voice in the working mode for as long as you need it to. With my students I pay close attention to the posture, correct muscles engagement, correct and adequate breathing. I incorporate breathing exercises and Alexander technique into my class routine. I work with students of any level - from the complete beginners to preparations for recording sessions and auditions. I truly believe that singing is a gift we should all enjoy. Unless you have some rare health problems, it's really not that difficult when you learn technique, it may demand some effort and consistency though. I'm here just to remind you how to do this cause you forgot. "To help you to discover your voice, bla bla bla" :) Don't trust me. Egzamin everything by yourself. There's no one fixed way to make your voice to project well as every BODY is different. I've been in vocal training for 10 years with different teachers untill I finally "got it". So last 1,5 year was making a living as a busker/performer and recording musician/vocalist, most of this time making new music and travelling :) (still haven't finished! ) Unfortunately things have changed for me recently due to pandemy, so for now I'm going back to education and online music services. This is how I used to work in the past, so I have VAST experience teaching voice emission and guitar. I can support you in learning proper breath support, vowels modification and also some various 'tricks', growing your range, voice hygiene and also will help to find proper register in which you can operate most efficiently. Rachael also plays cello, and studied for three years with esteemed cellist Alfia Nakipbekova. Rachael plays regularly with orchestras, and also has experience in the popular music setting, where she has played with bands in Leeds and London. Teaching in Singing Rachael teaches all levels and ages of singers.
