I offer Singing lessons, music theory tutoring and song writing classes. I trained as both a contemporary and classical singer and have performed in both fields for many years, from the Albert Hall to Abbey Road. I am a secondary school teacher, teaching 11-19 yo music and music technology, so am totally up to date on what is required for exams and the latest developments in popular music and current song trends in most styles.

The students will learn vocal fundamentals to strengthen the voice and to improve voice control and sound in general, extend range, work on chest and head voice, harmonising and breathing techniques. We will do different sets of vocal exercises to improve vocal abilities and work on different songs to put all the theory and exercises in to practice.

This class is for: - beginners who have never learnt how to sing before, doing some theory and practice, either children, teenager or adults. - intermediate, who have already had some singing classes and therefore we will go through what you already know and what you want you want to achieve with my lessons. - Advanced, who are auditioning for drama schools or jobs; singers or performers. 🔸Acting through song if required!

Special programme for younger beginners “Music Wonderland” has been specifically designed for children as young as 3.5 up to 7 years old. The classical/contemporary pan flute has developed only in the last 20 years which concluded with composers writing for this instrument and educators to develop a teaching program. The instrument has been very famous in world music for centuries, therefore the oral transmission played and still plays an important role in teaching and developing the techniques of the instrument. I've been teaching the pan flute for 4 years and playing the instrument for more than 14 years with experience in different styles: folk, classic and contemporary My style is based on demonstration, involving the student in the process of understanding the techniques of the instrument as well as the reasons behind certain musical styles in order to help them achieve confidence and a better interpretation. I use most of the time the brainstorming strategy to help students generate questions and ideas and get creative like in improvising, writing their own melodies, etc. In matters of musical interpretation, I encourage experimenting with phrases, musical colors, rhythms, musical direction, and music analysis.

1-1 sessions are available in sung voice, spoken voice and performance coaching. The voice is a vital communicative tool. It is a muscle that can be trained in many ways and for many purposes. A realised voice requires no attention on mechanics so that an individual can realise their performance potential. My aim is to support the strengthening and toning of the voice so that even in stressful scenarios, such as making a presentation or performing on stage, the individual can focus on delivering an engaging performance rather than having to think about vocal technicalities.

Learn Western Vocals and choose from different styles including Classical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Film Music. Depending on the genre you pick, we will work on vocal techniques, diction, dynamics, phrasing, posture and breathing exercises which aid the genre. We will also talk about stage presence and stage fear and how to overcome stage fear. Expressions are an important part of your songs and hence we will also learn exercises to improve your musical expression as well as learn how to act while singing (optional). We will also learn on how to read and write western music notation with music theory. Subjects like history, theory, piano, musicianship, composition etc are completely optional and can also be a part of the course if you wish to learn them.
