Singing is one of the purest ways of expressing oneself. It is one of the oldest forms of music making and nowadays there are many different styles to explore too. I recently graduated from a Master in Classical Singing and teach people of all levels to become better singers. I have 5 years of teaching experience and have given lessons to all different levels. I truly believe that anyone can sing, if they learn how to! Singing is also known to have a great effect on well-being and health, with its focus on breathing and body. In general I teach classical singing but also have experience teaching musical theatre too. We will explore different types of repertoire from various genres, work on musicianship, musicality and expression and try to improve posture and body awareness to in order to enhance your technique. Singing is good for the soul and I believe that everyone and anyone can learn to sing! I’ve been a professional classical singer for 15 years now, touring all over the world with UK-based ensembles and singing in some of the most incredible concert halls. I studied music at Oxford University and did a postgraduate in singing at Trinity Laban and am passionate about music education. I’ve taught all ages from 3-year-olds to 70-year-olds in workshops and on a one-to-one basis. I offer lessons focussing on vocal health and confidence, improving range, learning new repertoire or improving current repertoire, working towards exams and performances, choral singing techniques, or just singing for simple enjoyment! My approach is holistic as I believe the voice is an extension of our bodies and personalities. I also teach recorder, piano, and general musicianship to all ages.

Artist Development: James is an LA acting and vocal coach with over 30 years private and university, community college and performing arts high school teaching experience. As an artist developer he prepares talented actors and musical theatre vocalists for careers in the arts. Lessons are available both online and at his studio in Long Beach, CA. Lesson durations offered are: 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minutes weekly. James is on faculty at University of West London and offers their accredited acting and musical theatre vocal grade programs. James also teaches to actors: method, Shakespeare/classical, improv, dialects, voiceover, scene study. Those with a musical theatre vocal emphasis will also study music theory and ear training. Laura is an Italian woman born in Sardinia. She began her studies of music at a young age as a self-taught, and with dedication, she learns to play the recorder and the basics of music. At 14, Laura passes the entrance examination at the music school. She enrolls at the music school and attends lectures in two different high schools: the music school (Conservatorio G.P. da Palestrina) and the pedagogical high school. After the graduation as a pedagogue, Laura continues her musical studies by playing the bassoon, studying in deep music composition, solfeggio, choral singing. After graduating from the musical high school as a bassoonist, she enrolls at the music college, where she successfully concludes her studies as bassoonist (and music related studies) and begins a new course of study as pianist. After the master's degree, Laura moves to Japan, where she supervises a chorus and teaches music and Italian. Currently, she is teaching piano solfeggio and vocal (vocal lessons are just for kids).
