Learn how to sing comfortably and confidently! My teaching style is warm and empowering so that you can reach your goals as a singer. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to prepare for auditions, exams, or even a career, we can work together to reach new milestones in your voice.

I teach primarily popular music styles, including musical theatre and jazz. We'll be a good fit if you want to work on repertoire in the genres of pop, rock, R&B, folk, jazz, musical theatre, etc...

I have taught voice and music for eight years. My students have gone on to study music at leading universities. I love finding ways to help singers sing more comfortably and achieve goals they didn't think they would be able to.

As a singer, I have won numerous awards and scholarships. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music Performance (Singer-Songwriter Emphasis) and an MComp in Electronic Music. I also completed coursework from the Contemporary and Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University in vocal anatomy and health. I also offer lessons in songwriting and music production and am happy to incorporate these concepts into voice lessons.

About Me

I have extensive experience teaching voice to students of all ages. I believe in fostering students' passions for music and encouraging a fun and productive learning environment.

My students have gone on to study music at leading universities. If audition prep or university applications are something you'd like to focus on, I'd be happy to facilitate that. I also frequently work with students - adults and children alike - who just want a space to sing and learn how to use their voice more confidently. That's great, too!

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
