I have been teaching violin, piano, and music theory for over 10 years, during which I have developed a comprehensive understanding of music education and honed my ability to inspire and motivate students. My undergraduate and masters degrees in Music from Berklee College of Music and Trinity College Dublin provided a solid foundation in both music theory and performance, which I have built upon through extensive practical teaching experience. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with students of various ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced learners, and have tailored my teaching methods to suit their individual needs. I am deeply passionate about creating a positive, engaging learning environment where students can discover the joy of music and develop their musical skills. I aim to strike a balance as much as possible between teaching technical skills and musicality, as of course there cannot be one without the other when learning an instrument. Lessons are a mixture of teaching and demonstrating correct posture, finger patterns or body movements, and teaching and engaging a learner with rhythm, pitch and melody, and then combining them together. I am a firm believer in tackling one aspect at a time in lessons and gradually combining it with another aspect of playing. I often include activities such as playing a note and asking the student to match my pitch or sound quality, or including musical games that can develop musical memory and rhythm. The most important aspect of learning any instrument is of course the music! Aiming to help a student find music (or if they have ideas they are welcome to bring them along!) that they love and find absorbing - this can be any genre, as long as it has a tune! I have a variety of books of different levels that I can use to help students find styles that are fun and enjoyable for them. There are technical things that need to be worked on in playing any instrument - but of fundamental importance is that the student has a feel for the music they play and a musical idea of what the end goal of any piece is.

After studying violin and piano in Boston, at New England Conservatory with Eric Rosenblith, Master Classes with Dorothy DeLay, chamber music with Leslie Parnas and Burton Fine, as well as other Juilliard teachers and studies with Robert Soetens in France, I have been fortunate to enjoy over twenty years of teaching violin, viola and piano students. I am currently teaching in Central Florida as well as online through my Unique Musicality curriculum business. My initial studio experience began during my education at New England Conservatory, where I began teaching young students in the Boston area. Later, I was able to give master classes, private and group lessons in France and Asia as a member of touring orchestras. I currently teach lessons as well as providing master classes for select students and organizations. For the past two summers, I was a coach and performer at the Assisi Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival in Assisi, Italy. I have also been a judge in various Youth Symphony competitions as well as civic organizations that hold music competitions, such as the Kiwanis Club Arts and Music competition. My students have achieved entrance into summer conservatory programs including Peabody’s Music Summer Camp, Emory University’s Atlanta Chamber Music Festival, Franklin Pond Summer Intensive Chamber music program, Assisi Italy Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival, as well as continuing their college studies at Music Schools and Conservatories.

Viola and violin lessons suited for all ages and levels! I am originally form Argentina, and a recent graduate form the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (with a Masters degree in music performance -viola). I have lived in many different countries and played with a variety of ensembles, I am sure together we will find the best way to learn and practice these beatiful instruments in the best possible way (: Classes can be offered in English, Portuguese, or Spanish (French coming soon!)
