These classes are designed to accompany song lyrics writing processes. Depending on your level and needs, the topics we cover are: - What to say: how to find and highlight the message I want to convey in my song with everyday elements and games - How to say it: build a universe around the message I want to give through different resources such as free association, semantic fields, point of view, structures to advance a story, among others. - Verse and rhyme: in this aspect, I provide tools to understand the metric, essential for our writing to have rhythm. We also learn the different types of rhyme, versification structures, and analyze songs to understand how our favorite artists use them. - Poetic resources: at this point we embellish everything written through learning and using literary figures, with different objectives (repeating an idea, creating sounds, comparing, substituting, giving expressiveness...) The classes are totally personalized, we can see all the themes or only the ones that interest you. A pdf is delivered with what has been seen, and everything is always accompanied with examples and analysis. We accompany each theme with writing exercises!

I have been writing songs now for 30 years, including being asked to write lyrics for local charities and for special occasions. Songwriting theory and musical theory and compositions can often take the fun out of lifting and playing music - whether its a guitar, microphone, drum kit! These 1 hour sessions give the customer an opportunity to explore musical styles, rhythms, while personalising a song for their own use. Every song created will be supplied in an electronic copy, with the lyrics displayed in a certificate explaining the background to the song/ lyrics/ tune etc. Option1 : Tutor and customer discuss the scope of the song - whwether the song is to be personal - about someone, somewhere, a particular event - whether the song is to be uplifting or melancholy, with distortion, or smooth? These personalised songs can be so well received; especially with a copy of a certificate explaining why it was written, when it was written and for whom. Option 2: The Random Song - pick some random words and create a masterpiece; see the story come to life as the song verses merge into a meaningful chorus.... or let the fun begin, and let the children ( small and grown up) have loads of ideas which randomly converge into YOUR song! Can be done in person as part of a 'party' or online over Teams etc. No two sessions are ever the same; and multiple members can dial in if you want them to share in the Songwriting process! Professionally teaching classical and contemporary pianists for 15 years. We train students for musical and pianistic literacy (reading, rote, imrpov, technique, theory) so they can meet and surpass their goals. Love of music is at the forefront of everything we do. For exams, recreation or other projects, students play the music they love. They learn to look at notes, and see music. They learn to perform with confidence and enjoyment. They discover feeling music with their bodies, not just their heads. They develop their own music, seeing the sounds in their head come out of their fingers.

Songwriting is equal parts inspiration and craftmanship. In this class you will learn techniques and skills for developing ideas into songs. The class covers song structure, creating memorable melodies, how to find ideas that can be the basis for songs, and tips and tricks to not only start songs but finish them as well. The focus of the class to offer students concrete and actionable techniques to assist them in writing songs. The class is tailored to the students individual needs. Students do not need to know how to play an instrument nor do they need to be singers (although both are helpful).

Singing: I help you discover and develop your true vocal sound. I've adapted Classical voice techniques to modern pop and contemporary singing to make it effortless. I treat the voice as an instrument, and help you train it in a way that you have freedom to sing whatever genre and style you like. What to expect in a lesson: -Warmups (general vocal stretching, and some specifically targeting the weak points in your voice) -Sing me a song of your choice for me to evaluate and assess your specific weaknesses and address a vocal protocol for them. -We then break down the song into sections and address each issue head-on to find the right technical solution right away. -Solutions are effective, practical, and easy to use (especially with some practice). Songwriting: I walk you through the process of writing, how to turn your feelings into words and melody, and sometimes, I write it with you! The goal is to help you better express yourself. What to expect in a songwriting session: -We will have some personal chats so I can help you write something therapeutic (if that is how you would like to use songwriting, otherwise we can keep it light) -I will type out key words and phrases from our conversation. -We will then look over all the text, and start forming lyrics with whatever stands out and inspires you. -We will practice some improvisation, and learn some basic theory to assist with the writing. -Then I will guide you to putting everything together into a song. Artist Development: I work with you to help create a vision for your artist project, develop clarity of brand, musical identity, awareness of how to protect your music, and how to find purpose in your passion. Guitar lessons for technical and creative growth, suitable for those who would like to begin or evolve their musical knowledge by focusing on a parallel personal creative path. We will hold lessons in harmony, fingering, improvisation, composition, poetry, recording, arrangements. The different study programs based on the level of knowledge have as their maximum objective the in-depth search for one's own creative uniqueness.

Music Theory Class will take you from an absolute beginners level up through ABRSM levels, eventually to university level theory, and fil in any gaps that you may have or misunderstandings. We will use a variety of teaching and learning styles to engage students in the class and and interact with the course materials. You should have video capabilities and expect to upload your work regularly for best results. Your goals and interests are taken into consideration and you are encouraged to do personal research and follow diverse interests along your musical journey. The ability to play an instrument is an advantage but there are no pre-requisites for this class. In this course, I will guide you to gain your confidence and independence on the guitar. You will learn to read the tablature and staff notation, produce good sound, gain finger dexterity, play musically, understand musical concepts. If it is within your interest, we will also work on composition and songwriting. I will introduce you to harmony and voice leading. Together we will make reductions of songs and be inspired by them to write our own songs. As you grow you will develop your own sound and inner hearing. I also prepare students for the conservatory entrance exams.

Composition, harmony and piano classes. Compose and produce your own works and songs! All levels and ages. You do not need previous knowledge, just want to let your creativity fly. We will learn all music theory from your own interests. Harmony has the same functions in Mozart and in the Beatles, and it will always be more entertaining and the concepts will be more fixed if we learn them about our musical tastes. You will be able to learn to compose songs, musical curtains, musical comedies and even symphonic orchestrations. If you wish, you can also learn to produce and record your works using multitrack programs (Ex: Cubase, Nuendo, etc...) Classes are a space for you. You will manage the learning rhythms, according to your study times, and we will have absolute freedom to modify the styles and repertoires. The methods are very dynamic and entertaining, and are meant to bring out all your creativity.

The guitar is an excellent instrument to learn and it can be used for many different purposes. You can use it to learn and play your favourite songs. You can also use it to express yourself and write songs. You can even use it as a way to work with other musicians and perform at gigs! In each class I will teach you about the basics of playing guitar and how you can learn it. I have a strong knowledge of music theory on guitar which I usually try to incorporate into the playing aspect of learning guitar. The benefit of doing this is that it allows you to learn the movements and knowledge behind playing guitar, all while having fun learning a new instrument!

I am an Oxford educated musician with experience both in the classical and pop world. My focus as a musician is as a recording artist and performer but I teach classical and pop piano from beginner to advanced level. I like to tailor my classes depending on what my students are looking to achieve, whether in building technical skills, learning pieces or songs, or developing improvisational and songwriting techniques.

Working on the voice is a great way to connect back to yourself and express emotions. Apart from learning practical and safe vocal technique you will also have the opportunity to relax and have a joyful singing experience. My work is student centred and so we will learn the material you like and I will add the exercises and support you need to achieve your own goals. I work holistically and look at the body, mind and emotions and how they affect the voice and expression. If you are interested in writing songs then I am happy to help and this is possible even if you do not play an instrument!
