De gitaarmicrobe kreeg me op m'n vijftiende te pakken en liet me sindsdien niet meer los. Aan Hogeschool Gent volgde ik de lerarenopleiding muzikale opvoeding en Engels. I offer private singing lessons in Ghent with piano or guitar accompaniment. Knowledge of music theory isn't necessary; a desire to sing and work is all it takes! We'll focus on warming up, technique, and intention, but the joy of singing is always paramount. I can also teach you how to accompany yourself on guitar or piano while singing. Besides singing, we can also focus on songwriting, and I can guide you through the writing process and offer creative writing exercises.

For me, singing and writing music are the most rewarding things there is, and I'd love to help you discover your own voice. I am an Italian student of Violin, currently attending the Postgraduate Musical Performance Practice at KASK & Conservatorium in Gent.
I already have experience in teaching music and violin to children, teenagers and young adults. In those occasions, I discovered how much transmitting my love for music to other people - children, teenagers, adults, any age! - is one of my highest goals within my musical career.

I am Jess, a musician and producer from Ghent, graduated as a bachelor in music at PXL Hasselt. In the meantime I have been teaching guitar for 10 years at music studios and in the form of private lessons at home. Besides teaching I have my own project called Monagi and I write/produce for bands like Tout Va Bien and Patches. I also play guitar at TheShadow Machine. All my lessons take place in a relaxed atmosphere in my music studio in Ghent at your own pace.

For beginners: During our guitar lesson you can bring your own songs that you want to work on or together we will see what the best songs are for you and what you can learn the most from. This ranges from the basic chords that make up most pop / rock songs to playing along with the melody or accompanying yourself while singing. So you can play what you always dreamed of in no time!

For advanced users: Together we look at what you want to work on in terms of rhythm, soloing or improvisation. Which styles you are familiar with or which you would like to learn to play. I'm a British singer/song-writer/guitarist who has played concert halls to festivals in the UK and toured Europe with my own songs. I was raised on the classics. Beatles, Kinks, Ray Charles, Hendrix, Prince etc

I've 'lived music' and 'lived from' music for many years. I performed thousands of intimate gigs and the vast majority of those have been solo performances. I've performed in-front of audiences of 50,000 and audiences of just 1.

I won't get too technical and I won't start scoring music. In fact my music theory is basic, and I wouldn't claim to teach it. But what I'll show you is the soul of the song. Where the rhythm lives, how the groove feels and how to interpret that in terms of guitar. I'll listen to where you're at and be able to direct you better. Playing the guitar is closely linked to 'performance' and that's especially true if you want to entertain others. Thats my strength. To make the guitar shine, to become one with the instrument suits an extension of your body. To 'play' music and feel the joy in doing that, so that it makes you feel good and anybody listening too! That's the goal. Thats the challenge. I believe I can help you with that.

My name is Andre. I'm a professional musician with more than 10 years in the field. Despite Jazz being the main focus of my study and practice I've learned to love all genres and absorb each unique values and strengths. Having them integrated in the musical projects I've created or participated on. Projects which revolve around Jazz, Pop, Rock, Psychedelic, Electronic and Reggae.
Throughout my professional career I've worked with music schools and private students (+200). During this years I've encountered a plethora of different kinds of students, all levels ranging from kids to seniors and even a good quantity of autistic or down syndrome students, which always made me more and more interested in the art of teaching and helping people grow, by balancing challenge and empathy.
