I have an initial background in both Piano and Vocals, and performed with National Arts Centre Opera Lyra company for a number of years. I branched out into Jazz studies to become more flexible with modern style, improvisation and composition. I combine the best of what I learned from each approach to make you a well rounded pianist who can read and interpret sheet music but also understand the underlying theory, structures, and how to manipulate them into your own arrangements, improvisations and compositions. I write much of my own teaching materials, and combine in pieces that suit my curriculum from other composers. Though there is a structure curriculum, we can also lean into the personal passions of the student as many materials can be used to learn the fundamental skills. This way we can make maximum progress while staying personally motivated.

Through my study and professional experience, this process consists of careful attention and detail to the breath and body in physical, mental, and kinesthetic sense; understanding of text and interpretation that comes from an authentic place to heighten the beauty of the voice and clear communication of artistry; tuning carefully my ear to not only what sounds good but also feels good; observing if the singing was done with enough poise, ease, and elegance; yield my students to release any unnecessary and extra efforts while inviting freedom that is calm, collected and dynamic; guide my students to learn how to become their own teacher. This is what I hope to impart to my students. I look forward to passing on my own knowledge but furthermore learning from my future students to become an even better teacher.

While I was finishing my advanced technical college entrance qualification in economics, I realized that I should pursue my destiny, so I decided to study singing with the support of my parents and immigrated to Armenia in 2017. After a year of study preparation, I was successfully admitted to the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory (Bachelor, degree: Jazz and Popularmusic (singing)) in 2018 and received a full scholarship. I am currently living in Germany again and have joined the corona-related distance learning course (7th semester).
