Specialized support for dyslexia – Improvement of spelling and literacyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Does your son or daughter try very hard, but the results don't reflect all that they know? Do spelling mistakes affect your confidence? Do you notice that he depends on you too much because he doesn't feel confident reading or writing? I offer specialized support for children with dyslexia and reading and writing difficulties, focused on improving spelling, reading fluency and written expression from a respectful approach adapted to their pace. I work with structured, visual and multisensory methodologies that facilitate the integration of learning and reinforce linguistic skills without generating pressure or frustration. In addition to my experience as a teacher with over 20 years in the field of education, I am the mother of a child with dyslexia. I have witnessed firsthand what it means for a child to feel insecure, develop dependency out of fear of making mistakes, and lose autonomy in their learning. Therefore, my support focuses not only on academics but also on strengthening self-esteem, confidence, and personal security. In the sessions we work on: ✔ Specific reinforcement of spelling ✔ Improved reading fluency ✔ Adapted reading comprehension ✔ Strategies for organizing ideas in writing ✔ Techniques to gain autonomy and security As a teacher with over 20 years of experience and the mother of a child with dyslexia, I understand firsthand the concerns many families feel. I know there are other ways to support children, building on their strengths and fostering their self-esteem while they acquire effective learning tools. The goal is not just to improve grades, but to help each child discover that they can learn, progress, and have confidence in their abilities.

From Slow Reader to Confident Reader: Step by StepTranslate this text using Google Translate.

📖 Is Your Child a Slow Reader? Here’s How We Can Help! Reading should be an enjoyable and empowering experience for every child, but for some, it can feel slow, frustrating, or even discouraging. If your child struggles to read fluently, skips words, takes too long to finish a sentence, or often guesses instead of sounding out, they may need structured support in key reading skills. At our reading sessions, we take a step-by-step approach to help your child become a confident and fluent reader. Our method is based on proven techniques that support children who need more time and targeted guidance. 🌟 What We Focus On: 🔤 Letter–Sound Correspondence We ensure your child knows how to match letters and letter combinations with their correct sounds. This is the foundation of decoding and reading unfamiliar words. 🧠 Phonological Awareness We build skills like sound blending, segmenting, rhyming, and word manipulation. These activities train the brain to recognize how sounds work within words — a key to both reading and spelling success. 📚 Fluency Building Once the basics are in place, we work on fluency through repetition, guided reading, and fun activities that increase reading speed and accuracy without pressure. 🔁 Reinforcement and Confidence We use multisensory strategies and repetition to help children retain what they learn — and more importantly, feel proud of their progress. Whether your child has been formally diagnosed with a learning difficulty or simply needs extra support, our personalized sessions can help them overcome reading challenges and start to enjoy books and stories again. ✨ Every child learns at their own pace. With the right guidance and encouragement, even the slowest reader can grow into a strong, independent reader. 📩 Reach out today to learn more about how we can support your child’s reading journey. Let’s unlock their potential — one sound, one word, one page at a time.

One on One Virtual Dyslexia Therapy / Online Reading InterventionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

One on One Virtual Dyslexia Therapy / Online Reading InterventionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I provide one on one virtual dyslexia therapy using Take Flight: A Comprehensive Reading Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. The curriculum was created for children who have been identified with Dyslexia. It is an individualized Orton-Gillingham based approach which addresses all areas of language development needed to create successful spellers, readers and writers. What is Dyslexia therapy? Intervention for dyslexia directly, explicitly and systematically teaches an awareness of the sounds of language, letter-sound associations, vocabulary and strategies for understanding written language. Guided, repeated practice enables the child to apply what they have learned efficiently. Intensity (e.g., smaller group size, extended length of sessions and treatment, more individualized lessons) is what distinguishes dyslexia intervention from regular reading instruction. We are retraining the Dyslexic brain by lighting up the parts of the brain that are working well, and helping to compensate for the part that is weaker. Who can teach Take Flight? I have been certified to teach Take Flight, only certified practitioners may utilize the Take Flight program. The program was created at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia & Learning Disorders at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. It is a highly effective, multi-sensory, explicit, systematic phonetic method of instruction for both reading and spelling. We start at the phoneme level of language, at very basic skills, and progress to the more nuanced skills such as morphology and etymology. How often do children need therapy? This program is intended to be taught 5 times a week for 45 minutes each session or 4 times a week for 60 minutes each session. If necessary, we can make accommodations for timing. Therapy is a marathon, not a sprint.
