About Me

I am a FIDE-rated chess coach with over 15 years of experience in chess and several years of teaching experience with children and adults.

My teaching style is structured, practical, and personalized. I focus on understanding each student’s strengths and weaknesses and creating a training plan that matches their level and goals.

I enjoy working with students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced and tournament players. My lessons are friendly and interactive, but I also make sure students understand the ideas behind their moves rather than simply memorizing openings.

During our lessons, we work on tactics, calculation, strategy, openings, endgames, and especially analysis of the student’s own games. I also help students build better thinking habits and become more confident during games.

I currently teach both children and adults and offer online lessons to students worldwide. My goal is to make every lesson useful, enjoyable, and focused on measurable improvement.

Studied Computer Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at Islamic Azad University of Mashhad. My technical background has helped me develop a structured, analytical, and problem-solving approach that I also apply to chess training and coaching.

Hi, I'm Saiya! I have been playing competitive chess my whole life. As a child, I played and worked at chess for many years before finally having a breakthrough as a teenager, and I have continued to improve, even into my thirties as a PhD student with little spare time. All too many chess coaches rely on students to identify their own strengths and weaknesses and propose their own lesson plans.
