Learn Chess from Beginner to Pro | FIDE Rated Coach
From 24 C$ /h
My teaching style is patient, structured, and personalized. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match their pace and skill level. I focus on building strong fundamentals first, then gradually introduce tactics, strategy, and opening theory. My lessons are interactive and engaging—I use puzzles, real game examples, and practical exercises to make learning fun and effective. I also provide regular feedback and practice plans so students can track their progress. Whether you're a beginner or a tournament player, my goal is to make chess simple, enjoyable, and rewarding for you.

About Me
Hi, I’m Vivek Mahajan. I’ve spent years staring at the 64 squares, and I’ve loved every minute of it. As an International FIDE rated player with a peak rating of 1648 and a 2000 rating on Chess.com, I’ve tasted victory in many tournaments.
But I realized that my greatest win isn't a trophy—it's seeing my students succeed.
I started coaching in 2015 because I wanted to share the magic of chess. Whether it was in a physical classroom or online (since 2018), I’ve helped students of all ages go from learning how the pieces move to competing in State and National Championships.
Beyond the Board:
When I’m not playing or coaching, I serve as a Chess Arbiter at international events like the IIFL. This gives me a "referee's eye" for the rules and etiquette required at the highest levels of the sport.
Let’s turn your child’s curiosity into a lifelong skill. Contact me to start your first lesson!
