Recorder lessons for children or adults, online or around London
The recorder is a great instrument to learn either on its own or as a springboard for transferring to other instruments! Lessons will improve your musicality and your playing, no matter your level, and teach you to enjoy and express yourself through music. As a beginner, you or your child can expect to learn the basics of music notation and how to read it, and how to play simple pieces on the recorder. Intermediate and advanced students can expect more nuanced lessons on technique, musicality, phrasing, and more. Basic theory and aural skills training will be incorporated throughout, and students can work towards graded exams if they wish. I am a student at the Guildhall School, specialising in recorder performance. I am an active and experienced performer, and have experience teaching in a variety of contexts.

I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60. My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding. No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. I believe it important to have variety in the process of learning and to help the student to develop good practising habits. For those interested, I can also gladly include some music theory/music history knowledge in the lessons, to understand the pieces on a more profound level. The lessons can be taught in either Estonian, English, German or Spanish.

Singing lessons, healthy enjoyment! If you are singing, you can let go of everything else and that gives a wonderful feeling of relaxation
Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes. During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? Please feel free to bring your choir part to class and we will see together how we can make this easier for you. We work on repertoire that you love. We can also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music. WHO CAN LEARN TO SING? Everyone can learn to sing. Because of the singing lessons you will notice that singing becomes easier. Moreover, singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is just enjoying! YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT As a singer you already have one advantage over instrumentalists: you do not have to buy an (expensive) instrument. You always have your instrument with you, but... you have to take good care of your instrument!

Zangles voor beginners en zangeres/zangeressen met enige ervaring - Singing lessons for beginners and singers with some experience
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the singing class we start by teaching basic theory about mindset, breathing, breath support,.... For students with already some vocal experience, we go more into different types of ways of singing for example. head voice, mixed-voice, emotions while singing, microphone techniques,.... Would you like specifically targeted tips for example. performances, music choices,...? This is certainly possible! I look together with you what your needs are and what you would like to learn. We will not only look at the voice but also at “How do I stand on stage?” or “How do I reduce stress?”. So I'm also going to look at the mental and emotional aspects. I'll help you based on all my musical baggage that I'm expanding in the meantime! I am very much looking forward to working with you to further develop our singing voice together.
