I am a Suzuki trained teacher through world renown Mimi Zweig, Joshua Bell and Hilary Hahn’s own teacher! I studied with Grigory Kalinovsky and Mauricio Fuks at the Jacobs School of Music as well as Violaine Melancon at McGill University. I have been playing the violin for 20 years and teaching since I was 16, and I have great passion for music education for all ages. I will customise your lessons to what you need, from classical to folk to fiddling!

Young Strings is the violin and viola studio of Liam, BMus. Liam offers online private music lessons via Zoom from his studio in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada that are fun, engaging, and impart a real sense of musical understanding. Beginning students will learn from the Suzuki violin/viola method books, supplemented by more creative songs and arrangements. For intermediate/advanced students, we study more advanced techniques such as shifting, vibrato, and advanced bow strokes. The student also has flexibility in terms of style they would like to focus on - classical/pop/improvisation/etc.

I am a professional violinist and chamber musician with a Konzertexamen in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from the University of Trossingen (Germany). I also hold a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and am currently studying Viola at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Alongside my academic training, I am active as an orchestral musician and regularly perform with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien. My performing experience helps me guide students not only technically, but also musically and artistically. With my international performing and academic experience, I aim to help students build strong technical foundations, develop musical expression, and gain confidence in performance. Hi there, I'm a professional viola and violin teacher, teaching in person and online, in English, German or Russian. Alongside teaching 1:1 and coaching chamber music over the last 12 years, I've led numerous workshops, including ‘Music First’ and ‘Music Masters’ in the UK and taught on the Primary and Senior Arpeggione Viola Courses run by Jacky Woods, coaching some of the UK’s leading young musicians. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I have participated in ESTA conferences across Europe, including at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, and in Valletta, Europe’s cultural capital in 2018. ​I regularly prepare his students for auditions, competitions and exams at all levels, and has a holistic teaching style incorporating music theory, aural and sight reading skills and physical awareness. Many of my students have won regional and national competitions and have been accepted into specialist music schools and youth orchestras. Outside of teaching, I performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, recently including at Kings Place London, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Philharmonie Berlin. I received first prize at the Małopolska competition, the Barbirolli Prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. I hold a Masters degree with first class honours from the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where I studied with Tabea Zimmermann, and the University of Arts, where I studied with Lawrence Power, as well as a Bachelors degree with the same distinction from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I began in the primary department 20 years ago. Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process. I want my students to be aware of the importance of good posture and technique in order to enjoy the learning process without problems.
