I propose an apprenticeship based on musicality and efficiency. Technical, certainly, but always in the service of music, songs that we want to play. Because is not this the primary goal of the apprentice drummer / learn to play his favorite songs? Then: join a group, and be able to place themselves effectively on compositions. Pop, rock, funk, rockabilly, soul, RNB, blues, country, swing, disco, hard rock, electro, and more! These courses are intended for children as well as adults. I put at your disposal syllabuses with course notes and didactic videos. Feel free to come with your own requests! Except for the extreme metal: I have nothing against, simply I am not expert in blast beat and co, I can nevertheless recommend experts in the field. TIMES : I teach: - Monday and Tuesday in Chênée; - Wednesday in Jupille; - Friday at Cointe; - Saturday and Sunday in Baelen. Also : - Organization of internships during school holidays; - Ensemble course and learning modules "How to play with a bass player"; - Demos, interactive animations and clinics; - Tuning, adjustments and maintenance; - Member of the Belgian Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers. The guitar is a gentle instrument that touches people very deeply. Learning how to create that delicate art is difficult but achievable. Based on my own experience I create pathways for students to learn clearly and quickly; avoiding the many obstacles I faced when learning it. I've trained under the great guitar masters of Europe and studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and the Jerusalem Academy of Music. I recently founded the Science of Music method which teaches deep music understanding to anyone. I'm proud to have been teaching many people; facilitating deeper relationships to music.

Hey! Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you just want to take your piano playing to the next level? In either case, you can come to me for piano and theory lessons tailored to your needs! Are you a fan of pop/jazz music rather than classical? We can easily take care of this too! As a young student, I am often closer to the practice of teaching and can sense where the student's goals lie. Very flexible throughout the week and weekends, either at the student's home, at my grand piano, or possibly online (especially music theory).

In this lesson, music knowledge is not a pre-requisite. Here, you will discover music theory and solfege, alongside general music - the understanding of the history and significance of music to humanity. Students have the option of standard British/ American theory (classic/jazz) or French theory/Ecriture system. From note reading to harmonization, graded syllabus (E.g ABRSM) or just to explore, lessons will be specially catered to your needs. Being able to analyze what you see will definitely greatly improve your own instrument's progress! Solfege, or solfeggio training is a specialized aural training. It can be taught in either fixed or movable do to train for strong relative pitch and rhythm stability, allowing students to 'hear' the music just by looking at the notes. This is especially useful for mastering sight-reading, transcribing and playing by ear! Adding on, the ability to analyze by ear will open your world to the music you may have not noticed before.

Through my courses I will teach all levels of piano playing. My approach will consist of forming an individual repertoire according to each student's needs. In case that students want to integrate piano lessons with composing, that is also something I would strongly encourage, since piano is the most frequently used instrument for composing music.

Learning the Piano can be fun, especially when it is designed to meet your individual needs! Lessons are adapted to each student's preferences, based on their orientation and level, from beginners to advanced students. As a graduate classical pianist and also experienced Jazz musician (currently studying Jazz/Pop Piano in HKU), I can help you work your way around a variety of genres and repertoire in order to achieve your personal goals and express yourself through the art of playing the piano. I can also help singers that want to accompany themselves the most convenient way and also people that would like to use the piano as a tool to write their own music. I use both my own material of sheets and notes that I create specifically for each student, but also several books and a variety of methods. Some basic music theory is usually integrated to the piano lessons I give, in order to have a more complete understanding of the practical concepts but it could also be taught separately.

Hello! I am a musician offering tutorials in piano, trumpet, cornet, harmony, counterpoint, theory, and other general music-y things in English! I’m also available to direct rehearsals and concerts. Music Theory is important to all classical musicians. It not only compliments their practical activities, it is essential in being able to read and understand the music they play. Topics covered will include clefs, time signatures (simple, compound, irregular, and irrational - e.g. 7/6 - for students who want a challenge), chords, keys, rhythms, and harmony. Once the basics are mastered, students begin to focus more on harmony and counterpoint, examining and learning to write chorales in the style of J.S. Bach, before moving on to fugues and looking at the ways in which other composers have used harmony. I also have knowledge of jazz harmony and am able to discuss this with students if they wish. Contrary to popular belief, music theory isn't boring! Please contact me to chat about your/ your child’s musical goals and ambitions and to arrange a lesson. I am able to travel to homes and offices and have a flexible schedule to meet your needs! I have also taught over Skype in the past, where there’s the option of screen sharing, making it possible to demonstrate things on screen. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! Thomas
