As flash education is the new trend on the web, I try to identify myself as someone that does not take pride in giving "tips&tricks" classes rather to build toghether a path towards nolt only the understanding of the musical concepts, but towards their discovery. Through the use of Ableton Live I will cover music theory and it's appplication to the digital and analog world, exploring electronic and acoustic music, providing by time to time free tools and subsequent explanaition on how to use them, to build not only an in depth knowledge, but an efficient workflow. Having thaught in universities, it is clear to me that the path to learn cannot be a series of discontinued classes. Mauro, born in 1997 in Italy, approached the study of the drums at the age of 7 years attending the courses of Antonello Scarinci, then continuing with the master's Paolo Fidelibus and Fabrizio Fabiano in the "Accademia Ars Antiqua". In 2016 he undertook a course of studies with Maestro Tony Arco at “Civici Corsi di Jazz (Claudio Abbado)” in Milan, the renowned school founded by Franco Cerri, Enrico intra and Maurizio Franco. He attended the courses of Masters such as Lucio Terzano, Marco Vaggi, Mario Rusca, Mino Fabiano, Tony Arco. He also privately attends the Music course of Latin Jazz ensemble with the Peruvian bassist Rodolfo Guerra and participates in a number of masterclasses including Dave Liebman, Bob Moses, Roberto Tarenzi, Balla Nar Ndiaye Rose, Gerald Cannon, Dave Weckl, Dean Brown. The concert activity over the years has led him to perform in a variety of jazz exhibitions on and off the Milan scene, including Break-In Jazz, Open Sky Museum, Outsound Jazz Festival. Now is attending the Master's Degree at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam under the guide of Lucas Van Merwijk and Martijn Vink.

My classes are held online around the world. I can teach in English, Spanish, Russian, Italian, French, German or Portuguese. I am a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory in Russia where I lived, studied music and arts and worked as a ballet teacher, languages and music teacher. I have professional equipment such as cameras in different positions and degrees since it is essential that the student has different optics of both the piano and my body posture. We start with music theory and practice at the same time choosing pieces of preference for the student. The real objective of the class goes beyond the music per se ... but rather a spiritual-intellectual integration which results in genius through music! Music is the hook to touch the soul. Russian piano education focuses on fewer, more challenging pieces. The music will be learnt from memory and much of the learning is done through teacher demonstration. - Solfeggio First of all, what is solfeggio? Also known as 'solfège', solfeggio (sometimes called sight-singing) is the ability to read and sing music at sight. You may have heard this phrase before: 'Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do'. This is a method used to help musicians sight-sing. The Russian piano teaching method is often complemented by the use of solfeggio, and it is commonplace that when Russian teachers do use it, they use the fixed do, meaning C is always do, regardless of the key. With the British piano teaching method, solfeggio is less commonly used, and when it is, moveable do (the tonic is do) is used. As you can probably decipher, this makes the Russian method of using solfeggio much more challenging. - Attitude Without wanting to cast a generalisation across Russia, their learning method has been known for strictness, discipline and controversy. It leaves many wondering: Is the Russian way of learning the piano more demanding? Frequently, Russian piano teachers I work with joke about the harshness of teachers in their youth. The method is trying to achieve excellence in piano playing, but encouragement and discipline are used to varying degrees.

In the class of Piano depending on the student's wishes, we work on different methods, from learning music just as an activity to students who wish to continue their profession as a musician. The class of composition has the same algorithm as the piano class, the method selection is based on the student's wishes. Music Theory is proposed in both classes of composition and piano on the side but for the students who wish to learn music theory separately with more concentration, I offer this class as a separate class too. Class of Harmony and Writing actually has the same situation as music theory classes but students in the course of composition will be more specialized in harmony and counterpoint than piano students and of course, this course is proposed as a separate class too.

As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. I specialized in contemporary music composition in Bucharest, Birmingham and Paris having finished with honors my Bachelor, my Master and my Doctorate degree in this field. I also have a pedagogical degree and 2 years of experience in which I taught music composition, musical forms, poliphony, orchestration, music theory and solfege at the National University of Music from Bucharest. In 2022 I finished a 2nd Master's Degree in Film Music Composition at the ZHdK. This class is for both beginners who want to compose music as a hobby and to aspiring professional composers. The main topic of my doctoral thesis was the compositional idea and the processes involved in the creative undertakings. How does one reach the final stage of a composition from just a few ideas? How can we improve this endeavour? What strategies and techniques are needed in order to do that? The class will be customized for each student so in order to achieve a certain objective in music composition the lessons can include elements of music theory, harmony, poliphony, orchestration, improvisation, music notation (Finale & Dorico) and music production (StudioOne). Although solfege and improvisation are extremely useful (I dare say even indispensable) for a professional composer, they can also be means to an end for passionate music lovers. Solfege and strategies that come with it can help your singing and music sight reading. And improvisation is such a fun and relaxing activity that I think everybody should do it!

Hello, my name is Vinicius, I am a Brazilian Biologist and I have a Master's degree on Neuroscience Research at VU Amsterdam. I have been playing guitar since I was 11 and I have been teaching the instrument for over a decade now. I believe that motivating the student and helping him to integrate the instrument into his daily routine is the most important role that a teacher can do. My methodology is the flipped-classroom and I use the Google Classroom platform: every week, I will write a study guide with details of what we discussed during class + references (videos/blogs/books). This can be used by the student to study carefully at their own pace. During our next class, we will discuss the points you had the most difficulty and advance your knowledge further. I can also record videos and write essays from scratch specifically for you, whenever the material is not available online. About me I learned to play the guitar on my own - later in life I had classical training at university (singing, piano and classical guitar). I play Fingerstyle guitar, popularized by artists like Andy McKee, Tommy Emmanuel and Antoine Dufour, which consists of playing melody, harmony and percussion at the same time. I have published an EP named "14th of August" with original fingerstyle compositions in 2020.
