Trusted teacher: Ciao! Je m'appelle Francesco et je vis en Belgique depuis plus de 7 ans. You live in Liguria (Italy) and you continue your doctorate and philosophy at KU Leuven. Since the young people are born, they are not the only natural people in the world and therefore the language of their professions is simple enough for pleasure. The development of the course of the CVO d'Alost: a course of class of vocabulary and grammar, and a course of conversation in the course of the studies and advances. Take your time and enjoy your connaissance, enjoy the fresh air, the fresh air, the fresh air - the whole experience! You also prepare the court videos with regard to the discussions and ensembles, after which you compose your oral and your vocabulary. Et, lorsque c'est necessaire, nous pourrons nous concentrator plus précisément sur la grammaire et la construction des phrases. Nous déciderons ensemble de la meilleure manière d'avancer. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested! A presto! 🙂 ——— Hello! My name is Francesco and I've been living in Belgium for seven years. I'm from Liguria (Italy) and I'm currently completing my PhD in philosophy at KU Leuven. For the past few years, I've given private Italian lessons to people who wanted to learn the language for fun or professional reasons. I've also taught two courses at a CVO (Center for Vocational Education) in Aalst: one classical course on grammar and vocabulary, and a conversation course for more advanced students. Depending on your level, we can get to know each other better during the lessons, talk about our lives, hobbies, experiences—anything you like! We can also watch and discuss short videos together to improve your listening comprehension and vocabulary. And when needed, we can focus more specifically on grammar and sentence structure. My Dutch isn't perfect, but I can easily use English or French if you don't (yet) speak Italian. We can discuss what works best for you. Feel free to leave a message if you're interested! Trusted teacher: Ciao! I have been teaching Italian for the past twelve years. I have taught privately and at language schools like La Scuola Italiana del Greenwich Village in New York and ItalCultura, the school of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. During the first few lessons I will make sure you have the tools to pronounce and identify all the sounds of the Italian language. This step is essential! And it will make everything easier afterwards. When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling. When you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I will customize my materials to your interests, needs and desired pace. And because you are learning from a native Italian you will also learn about Italian culture and history. You will absorb a way of thinking, not just grammar rules. I speak a bunch of languages so I know a thing or two about how tedious language classes can be. My terrifying French teacher in middle school made us repeat the same fake dialogue from a really bad book ad nauseam, over and over and over again. Some of those dialogues are carved in my brain: “Bonjour, je m’appelle Richard Drapeau, je viens du Canada, je suis Canadien...” When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling and we will go on “talking walks” because when you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I hold a degree in Lingue e Letterature Straniere (Foreign Languages and Literatures) from Università Roma Tre (equivalent to an American MA) and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago. I wrote a thesis about translating a long epic poem by W. H. Auden and I tried to ride a horse across America.

Trusted teacher: If you answer yes to one or more of these questions: ○ Do you want to learn the basics of Italian, one of the most beautiful languages in the world? ○ Would you like to converse in Italian with a native speaker, improve your oral communication and pronunciation, and learn new commonly used expressions? ○ Are you fascinated by the culture, art, gastronomy or even the history of Italy? ○ Or do you mainly need to revise Italian grammar, improve your written communication or practice conjugation? So good news, look no further: you've come to the right place! Dante's language will no longer hold any secrets for you thanks to clear, dynamic and entertaining lessons, adapted to your pace and your personal needs. - Small games will also be organized: don't they say that it's by having fun that we learn best? - In addition, classes will be taught primarily in Italian from day one. For me, immersion is the most direct method of learning. However, I will use French, English, or German to clarify any doubts, especially for beginners. - Having learned many languages myself, I understand the challenges you face and can share with you the techniques that helped me overcome them. - At the end of each course, you will receive a personalized document containing all my notes and observations to facilitate revision and your learning. If you are motivated, I can: - plan homework to help you progress more quickly. - share authentic material with you in the form of articles, videos, films or podcasts to present and comment on with me during the course. An expert in Italian culture and literature thanks to my university studies and multilingualism, I offer courses that will help you progress quickly thanks to an effective method. My classes are structured to allow you to practice conversation (practice Italian through everyday situations), work on grammar in a targeted manner and enrich your vocabulary through the analysis of written or oral documents together. No, you don't see the unexpected news, here you go! I look forward to meeting you, see you soon!

Trusted teacher: I am an Italian native speaker and I am fluent in English, having lived a decade in a few different places in the UK. Furthermore I speak Spanish to a beginner-to-intermediate level. I’ve got two passions in life: music and cultures and they both relate to languages. Music is known to be a universal language and different cultures connect with, and influence each other, through the use of spoken language. My formal education lays in music, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, and a five-year diploma as a Jazz bass player from the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milan. I’ve been teaching music for fifteen years and during the last one I've decided to expand over to languages, by taking up the challenge to combine my passion for teaching with the love for languages. I’ve developed the latter during my many years abroad, where I shared my everyday life with people from all over te world. My method is essentially based on grammar and conversation, alternating the two based on the student’s level of fluency. Once the basics are mastered I focus on conversation, especially providing thorough explanation about typical words and expressions and their various acceptations within different contexts. At times I may also add the odd etymology side note when relevant. I also like to use readings upon subjects that are of the student’s interest, as this aids in nurturing their motivation. Given the transformative and fluid nature of speech, my aim is to deliver an organic learning experience, able to be put to fruition from the start and in everyday life, but that also won’t fail to address the differences between formal and informal interactions. Hence, avoiding inhibit a swift communication in favour of grammatical accuracy. A second level of my teaching focuses on expanding the student's writing skills and this is aimed to individuals who may have achieved a solid grasp of the basis and a wider knowledge on vocabulary. This is because writing is an art on its own and its objective is to convey one's true thoughts and feelings, therefore it requires a dedicated effort. I can teach in English, Italian and Spanish and lessons can be either in person at your place or mine, or via Zoom. Get in touch for more information!

I started classes with Madeira in preparation for an interview to a French Medical School. While I had a fairly okay level of French already, Madeira really helped me polish my language skills and achieve the level of refinement and ease in my formal conversational skills which I needed for my interview. She was able to expertly identify what areas I needed to improve upon, and through her exercises and feedback I was able to greatly improve my oral skills. Madeira was also incredibly receptive to any requests that I had regarding things which I wanted to work on, and she went above and beyond in helping me understand technical portions of French grammar with which I have always had issues. Overall, I strongly recommend Madeira as a French teacher to anyone attempting to improve on their French skills.

I’m very grateful to have Andrea as my Italian language tutor. I am traveling to Italy soon, and his lessons have given me the confidence I need to converse in Italian when I’m there. He pays close attention to pronunciation and grammar, politely correcting you when you make mistakes and clearly teaching you the grammar rules needed to avoid making them again. The typed notes he makes during the lesson (which he sends you afterward) are clear, very helpful summaries of what we covered. I don’t think I could ask for a better tutor!

Naomi is an outstanding language teacher, highly skilled in teaching which comes from her advanced degree in language studies. She develops a plan based on the needs of the student - in my case, as a beginner she worked out a model that helped me grasp the basics of the structure of the language as well as cultivate the fundamentals of common everyday speech, I would recommend her for anyone wanting to develop their skills in Italian and or Spanish from a beginner to a more advanced stage.
