Hello there! I'm Valentina I am Italian born and raised in the charming city of Salerno, Italy. My academic journey led me to graduate at the University of Salerno, where I completed both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in "Modern Languages and Literatures" (Europeans and Americans) specialising in English and German language.

One of the highlights of my educational experience was the 6-month period in Germany, Bonn for my Erasmus programme, where I immersed myself in a new language and culture, broadening my perspective on the world.

Proficient in my native Italian and fluent in English, I've been sharing my passion for languages as a certified English tutor for the past three years. Teaching is not just a profession for me; it's a way to connect with people, delve into diverse cultures, and share the beauty of language.

I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
