I am an incredibly enthusiastic tutor whose teaching is grounded in confidence-building. I truly believe that many of the problems students face come from a lack of confidence in themselves. I keep this at the forefront of my tuition focus as well as maintaining high attention to detail when it comes to planning sessions to make sure students get the most out of everyone. Since my graduation from the University of Birmingham with a 2.1 in History and Political Science, I have gained over two years of experience tutoring primary students and consistently see fantastic results from my tutees. I also work part-time at a tuition centre which is at the forefront of tuition up to 11 Plus, with access to incredible online resources. Therefore, I am fully up to date with the national curriculum and any changes that may come with it. After completing my Masters in Musical Theatre at The Guildford School of Acting (University of Surrey), I have also gone on to become a professional writer with a West End show currently under commission and another nearing its final stages of development. In conjunction with this, I have led seminars in writing at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Some examples of the students I have taught include A dyslexic student in year five for Maths and English, a year five student preparing for their 11 Plus examination and an A-Level student for Drama (Edexcel but I have also studied the AQA syllabus) As well as this, I have led seminars at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on writing and have taught workshops (one-on-one and in groups) since 2017, so I have over two years of experience educating children.

This class is specifically for AQA History A-Level students who want some extra help with the course. Specifically, the Tudors (1C) and the US Civil War (2J). This would be a perfect head-start for current Year 11 or Year 12 students who want to advance their knowledge at home whilst in lockdown. I am predicted an A in History and want to pass on my strong subject knowledge, resources and revision tips. My goal is to explain each part of the specification in detail so that students gain a deep understanding of the content and enter the exam feeling fully prepared and confident!

For the youngest, I help with all matters relating to French, languages, history, mathematics, etc. For middle school students, I help in the subjects of French, literature, history. I have good knowledge in humanities such as history, law, economics, management, political science and sociology. I master the writing of argued assignments such as essays and various compositions. A solid methodology is not innate for a student. He needs to receive wise advice to know what is expected of him, thus allowing him to dominate and gain height on his subject. In addition, my experiences in internships and applications have allowed me to develop a good know-how regarding cover letters and CVs. I am excited to share them. I am available to support a student in his personal work, give him reading and understanding keys to, ultimately, develop his autonomy, his dynamism and his creativity both for his studies and for his professional future. In my opinion, learning is not enough, it is necessary to grasp the different techniques of methodologies and know how to adapt to move forward at best.

African American History has a very specific place in World history and is, furthermore, tied into colonialism and the expression of African culture on the American scale. As America is, largely due to Americanization, the premier export of Black culture on a global scale, the importance of African American culture and history are currently at an all-time high. The classes provided in this course will revolve around African American history and how it ties into colonialism, the suppression of additional minorities and the expressions of African American culture on a global scale.
