Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is William. As of today, I’ve been working for 11 years in the animation series and film industry as Lead and Senior Character artist, Lead and Senior Environment artist, CG generalist and CG supervisor. I understand the challenges associated with getting noticed by studios as a beginner who want to step into the industry and I’d like to provide my help. This is a consulting and supportive course for students and artists interested in breaking into the animation, video game, VFX and commercials industry. This is not suitable for any professional work, as I am surely not going to do any 3D work for you :) The course will be tailor-made, which means that I will assist and advise you with the best possible hints and tips based on your current skills and current portfolio. I will provide you with personalized feedback to help you boost your demo reel as close as possible to the standards of the industry for you to catch the attention of recruiters and hopefully getting you a job ! The software used should be free like Blender or Unreal Engine but I can also provide help within Maya if you can afford a license for yourself. The general idea is to provide guidance to level-up to a large and accurate knowledge for you to keep progressing with your preferred software of choice. This course is suitable for perfect beginners and hobbyists who want to turn professional. I can guide you through the numerous software out there and help you pick an industry standard and advise you on the skills you need to grow in order to create or boost your portfolio. I am a calm person with a good temperament and will try to provide best feedback for you, let’s have fun and create together!

This lesson focuses on creating real-time visuals, animation, and audiovisual composition using Ableton Live together with the visual engine Videosync. It is suitable for beginners and early-intermediate users who want to explore visuals in a musical and performance-oriented context. We look at how visuals can be created, structured, and performed in relation to sound. Starting from basic setups and visual ideas, we move toward building animated and real-time visual systems that can be used for performances, installations, or audiovisual works. The emphasis is on understanding visuals as time-based systems, rather than relying on templates or ready-made effects. Depending on your interests, lessons can include: ■ working with real-time visuals and video clips ■ creating and controlling animated visuals ■ structuring visuals in relation to rhythm, timing, and musical form ■ preparing visual sessions and VJ sets for concerts ■ building audiovisual compositions and performance setups ■ creating music videos and visual content for promoting music online ■ developing visuals for art and installation projects For more experienced users, we can also explore experimental and creative approaches, including system-based animation, generative structures, unconventional audiovisual workflows and developing custom shaders. Lessons are adapted to your level and goals. No prior experience with visual tools in Ableton Live is required, and the focus is on clear concepts that can be applied across different visual approaches. Private lessons are available in my studio in Nijmegen, at your place, or online if preferred.

You've been watching Blender tutorials for months... and you still make shit. (sorry for the vulgarity haha) I know exactly how you feel. That rage that rises when you spend 3 hours on YouTube looking for THE technique that will finally unlock your project (and which doesn't work -- obviously). That anxiety when you redo the tutorial identically but it doesn't work on YOUR model. And that voice in your head that says "give up, you're not cut out for this." (and let's not even talk about your parents/friends wondering what the hell you're doing and that maybe you should be doing something more "useful") You're swimming in an ocean of videos, forums, and conflicting advice. One day you are told to use this method or software, the next day you find out it is obsolete (WTF?). You collect techniques like stamps, but as soon as you want to create something personal, it's a total black hole. (And yes, copying a tutorial is easy, but when it comes to making your own projects, it's a different story...) The worst part? You start to believe the problem is you. That you're too stupid for 3D. That your computer is too crap. That Blender is too complicated. So... You change software, you upgrade your PC, you look for even more tutorials... but nothing changes. (Your progress is still at 0) The truth is, you don't need more information. You need someone to show you the 5% of Blender that really matters. Someone who makes you understand WHY it works instead of just making you "copy and paste". In 11 years in the 3D industry and 8 years of teaching, I've seen hundreds of students with exactly your problem. And you know what? The ones who make it through aren't any smarter than you. They just had someone show them the fundamentals that make everything else obvious. With me, you'll stop struggling with Blender. In just one hour a week, you'll experience those turning points that turn struggle into pleasure. From the very first lesson, you'll feel that "Eureka" moment. After 15 days, you'll have your first real results. And in 1 month, you'll be on your own. I don't throw a ready-made program at you. I adapt it to YOUR project, to YOUR goals. If you want to do character, we do character. If it's architecture, we do architecture. If it's a short film, we'll make your short film. And I repeat as many times as necessary until it is crystal clear to you. No more sleepless nights searching for solutions on Google. No more half-abandoned projects. No more feeling like you're going around in circles. We discuss your project, I'll see if I can help you, and if so, we'll start working on resolving your situation right away. Who am I ? Roman, - I have been in the industry for 11 years as the director of my 3D animation studio - Motion Live Pictures - I founded the 3D school - H3D2 8 years ago where I manage and train 4 teachers and already follow more than 160 students - I taught for 3 years at the French 3D school Rubika from first to fifth year. (as a Maya, Blender, Compositing and Postproduction teacher on After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some) I am focused on learning motivated by encouragement rather than punishment (grades) and I am certain that anyone can succeed in this field if they have a teacher who adapts to their constraints and who really knows how to explain the fundamentals. (which is clearly not the case for the majority, believe me) I only have 5 spots to offer. (and yes I still have to manage my studio and my school (!) - and that takes time ^^) Then I would put people on a waiting list. - During the first hour of class with me, you can see if my way of working suits you. (It should since I adapt to you, but you never know! :)) - Up to 4 lessons completed with me, you can ask for a full refund if you are not satisfied. Some bonus gifts that I'll send you after our first lesson: - The Blender Checklist: The essential things you need to know about the software. (You won't be overwhelmed by a mountain of information, just what you need.) - The "Digital Director" Checklist: Every step to truly make a 3D film from A to Z (+ mistakes to avoid) Isn't life beautiful? :) -> Book your first lesson with me now. We'll discuss your project, see if I can help, and if so, we'll start working on your situation right away.

Cécile is a responsive teacher who uses an interactive and structured approach. She listened to my needs and was attentive to my level, tailoring lessons to how and where i can best make progress. The strength I am most impressed by is her ability to identify where exactly I'm having issues, and to work around those needs and structure homework in a way that best exercises it.

Renaud very quickly understood my initial knowledge (zero!) and also my reason and interest in the course. Renaud has a lot of knowledge to share and he very quickly assessed my level. He knew where to begin and stop in the session. He was very patient with me and I was completely comfortable with him. As a teacher myself, I can highly recommend him!
