The class is online cello lessons for beginner, intermediate, or advanced students. I am a cello performance major at the shepherd School of Music, and I’m looking to expand my cello teaching studio. I am currently a junior and will graduate as a part of the class of 25.

I hope to inspire my student’s to trust themselves, experiment and find a joyful sense of freedom when creating music. I love to create a balance between a focus on technique, musical expression and background information on the music we’re playing. I have a classical music background, my work currently covers film music, musical theatre, pop, classical and folk. My teaching can involve elements of the Dalcroze, Kodaly, Orff and Suzuki methods, depending on the students’ needs and background. Exam-wise, I am very happy to support my students in achieving specific grades, just as I am happy setting milestones via more and more challenging repertoire. Lesson length and frequency can depend upon the student, I would highly recommend practicing in some way every day. Whether this be through physically playing the instrument, listening to music, watching a live performance or reading scores.

I have been giving lessons online and in person for over 8 years. I want to help you reach your musical goals, no matter what your experience or age. I strive to teach students technical skills(how to play their instrument, read music, and understand theory) but also learn about themselves, and develop their own voices in and out of the musical world. Whether your 9-year-old child wants to play in the symphony when they grow up, or you've just retired at 65 and want to play heavy metal cello all ages and goals are welcome. Student Success Adult students have gone on to be in worship groups, community orchestras, recorded on albums, played at weddings, composed their own music, and even start bands. Elementary and high school students have made the first chair in the orchestra, went on to All-County and even All-State orchestras, and raised their NYSSMA rating from a Good to Outstanding. General Materials - Beginners While it differs for each student. I tend to start beginners out on the Suzuki Books. By Book 3 we are adding in Lee and/or Sevcik Etudes and branching out into even more music. Intermediate and Advanced I like to include etudes, orchestral excerpts, music theory and even a bit of music history. Jazz Students - We're going to start with a foundation of jazz knowledge. Music theory, Improvisation, listening, transcription. As a musician, I played 1,000+ shows, and performed on over 40 albums, plus numerous podcasts, TV shows, and movies. I've been featured in The New York Times, CBS Evening News, NPR, and even on stage at the Grande Olde Opry.

My name is Maksim and I am a professional cellist and soloist from Belarus Currently, I am studying at the Basel Musik Akademie where I am pursuing Ergänzungsstudium with Danjulo Ishizaka. I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and a Master's degree in Soloist Performance at Basel Musik Akademie (with Prof. Thomas Demenga). Besides giving solo and chamber concerts, teaching cello is my second passion! I enjoy sharing my experience with my students and watching them grow. With over 5 years of experience in private teaching, I have a diverse group of students from different countries, since I offer both online and in-person lessons. Hey! My name is Luke and I'm a cellist currently finishing up my junior year at Interlochen center for the arts. I have been playing cello for 15 years (basically my whole life) and have attended multiple music institutes in my career- including Juilliard, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and San Fransisco Conservatory of Music. I have also performed in many great venues with great orchestras including Alice-Tully Hall as principal cellist of the ISO 3rd street's symphony orchestra, and David Geffin Hall side by side with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. My hobbies and interests include... well... music :) I have been an informal teacher/tutor for around 2 years now, and I teach students of all ages and all levels. I have taught private lessons with kids of all ages and was also an assistant music instructor for a semester at the French American School of Boca Raton. I use many different methodologies which I tailor to the goals of the student. For example, if a student is looking to improve technique, I would use Schroeder, Popper, Piatti... etude books... and tailor the exercises to the student's ability. However, if a student is simply preparing for an audition or recital of some sort perhaps a specific method is not necessary, and all they require is a practice coach. If a student is closer to the beginning of their cello journey and is unsure of their next steps, I find the Suzuki method to be the most straightforward and effective.

My name is Angelika and I am a cellist from Greece, currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels. I hold a diploma in cello performance and harmony from Greece. Currently I'm studying my Master's degree on cello performance in Brussels after obtaining my Bachelor's with high distinction. I offer lessons to both beginners and those already acquainted with cello. In addition I offer music theory, ear training and harmony lessons. I'm friendly with children and can get them started in either general music education to prepare them for instrument studies later on or alternatively guide them to their first steps in cello playing. Hi, Welcome to my profile. I'm a professional cellist from Buenos Aires Argentina, currently performing as a substitute soloist in the cello section of Teatro Colón's Permanent Orchestra. The Teatro Colón is one of the most prominent opera houses in the country as well as of Latin America. I've been playing the cello since I was 13 years old and since then it's been a 30-year-old journey. I played in several orchestras in my country and abroad while I was developing my career as a musician in Europe. I have also performed as a soloist most of the big cello and orchestra works as well as chamber music concerts in my own country. I have had great teachers in my career, and I have also helped many students in their own journey with the cello. I helped them sharpen their skills, gave them study routines focused on their needs and desires, and even helped them prepare for (and eventually win!) auditions. My main duties as the moment are performing Opera repertoire with top-level conductors and I'm a regular collaborator with the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, playing symphonic works.
