Learning to play the violin isn't easy. Sometimes it takes a lot of practice just to get a clear note. Fine motor skills are crucial, as is ear training. I attended music school for 12 years with a truly excellent teacher. I really admired her teaching style. I also played in some fantastic symphonic orchestras, and I still do. Recently, I started a band with some other musical friends, where we can unleash our own creativity! I would like to pass on the art and joy of playing music to student musicians in the introductory lessons (0-6 years) and the 1st grade (7-12 years).

If you live in or around Mechelen or the Flemsih part of Belgium, and interested in violin/viola lessons, you've found the right teacher. As a passionate performer and teacher, I offer private lessons in English, Spanish or Dutch (though my Dutch is not yet good enough) to individuals of any age group. From most basic to advanced and professional level. I am very patient with the students, specially with kids and beginners. There are certain materials, methods, and a repertoire lists that I will rely on for most teaching, but every student will receive advice and exercises tailored to their specific needs. If you are interested in lessons for yourself or for a friend/family member, don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss teaching methods and materials, scheduling and more in greater detail. *Students will need their own instrument, which I can not provide. Depending on the age/size of the student, borrowing or renting instruments is possible. It is not recommended that a beginner student purchase an instrument without the supervision of their teacher! What do people expect from a good Music School? Decent education: From the outset, the Wonderful World Music School opted for an offer based on highly qualified qualified teachers who could be engaged and not vice versa. Personal assistance: Musicschool Wonderful World chose a smart way of coaching. In addition to individual lessons, where the student gets all the attention, they consciously choose to keep the classroom lessons small. In this way, lessons can also be given in a quasi-individual way. This results in a more intensive form of teaching, which requires fewer lessons than in official part-time music education to process the same subject material. We offer great flexibility in choice of teaching hours package. Each pupil has the choice to take lessons for 1/2 hour or one hour (or more) per week. 1 h. lesson every 14 days is also possible. We work with lessons of 10 or 30 lessons. The pupil can therefore jump in at any time of the year. And a great flexibility at the time of the lesson. We try, if pupils follow an instrument next to the class lessons, to place them as much as possible. Also, as far as possible, the optimal lesson time is always sought for the pupil. Something that is impossible in official part-time music education. Every year we organize lectures, exams and student concerts, such as in official part-time music education. At the annual proclamation we award diplomas, followed by a pleasant dinner and / or garden party. A few more practical announcements: The lesson dates of the class lessons are given in the beginning of September for the entire school year. Having taught the violin for 20 years and knowing in depth different instrumental techniques and different teaching methods, I can adapt my teaching to the needs, age and character of each student. Hi, I'm Stephanie, professional violinist and teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with students from young beginners through to ATCL diploma level. I trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège in the Franco-Belgian violin tradition and currently perform with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra. My teaching combines strong technical foundations with listening, musical curiosity and confidence. Growing up in Hong Kong, I began my own violin studies with the Suzuki Method, and I am now continuing my training in Suzuki pedagogy. I particularly value its emphasis on learning through listening, positive encouragement and developing good habits naturally. I want lessons to be enjoyable and encouraging, while still giving students the tools to become thoughtful and independent musicians. My experience includes individual teaching as well as orchestras, bands and ensembles, so rhythm, listening to others and making music together are also important parts of my teaching. Lessons are adapted to each student's age, level and goals, whether learning for enjoyment or preparing for exams, competitions and performances.
