Hello! My name is Cristóbal, a Spanish flautist passionate about music and teaching it. I offer flute, piccolo and traverso lessons for all levels. I particularly enjoy guiding each student on their musical journey, adapting to their needs and goals. I have had the opportunity to work with students of all ages (from 5 to 68) and all levels, from beginners to those preparing for conservatory entrance exams. I have taught in music schools as well as privately in Spain, France, and Switzerland. This diversity of experience allows me to easily adapt to each student and to offer personalized support, according to their objectives, level and learning pace. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Zaragoza, Spain, I continued my studies at the Strasbourg Conservatory in Raquel Magalhães' class, where I was awarded a distinction. I then obtained a Master's degree in Performance from the Geneva University of Music in Jacques Zoon's class. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in traverso with Johanna Bartz, as well as a Master's degree in piccolo at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with Peter Verhoyen. This dual specialization allows me to approach the flute family in its stylistic richness, from the modern repertoire to the baroque.

I offer recorder and/or music theory lessons, tailored to each student's needs. You can choose to focus on the instrument, deepen your musical understanding through music theory, or combine both for a comprehensive learning experience. For recorder, we work on breath control, fingering, articulation, posture, interpretation of early and contemporary repertoire, ornamentation, improvisation, and more. For music theory, I adapt my method to your level: reading notes and rhythms, listening skills, identifying intervals, fundamental harmonics, and understanding musical language. In this course I teach the transverse flute for both beginners and more advanced players. I also teach the basics of music notation: how to decipher a score, read the rhythm, and replay it, etc. I therefore teach instrumental practice up to an advanced level and musical reading without going through music theory.

I offer flute lessons in and around Geneva. (ENGLISH BELOW) Flutist of Finnish origin, I spent the last three years in Switzerland where I perfected my instrumental mastery as part of a Master. Thanks to regular work with individual students and several replacements at the Conservatoire Popular de Musique in Geneva (among others) and in several music schools in Finland, I gained a lot of teaching experience. In Finland I studied instrumental pedagogy and I am currently pursuing it at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva. For me, the goal of teaching is to always work with a smile without forgetting the objectives, adapted to each student individually. I'm offering flute lessons in the Geneva area. Originally coming from Finland, I've spent my last three years in Switzerland while doing my master studies of flute. Teaching a teacher as a teacher in a private school. When studying in Finland I already started my instrument pedagogic studies and I'm filling in the High School of Music in Geneva. For me as a teacher, the most important thing is to always study in a good and encouraging atmosphere while still heading towards the waypoints of the instrumental learning.
