Hi, I am Thore. I’m a German Bachelors degree flute student at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen.

During my studies here I could and still can gather a lot of knowledge about methodology and pedagogy and could already make a few teaching experiences.

For me teaching means learning from each other. Thus the student of course gets insight to my knowledge about music and instrumental technique but I will also learn a lot from the student about the individual factors of flute playing and music making in general.

In my lessons I focus a lot on breathing and posture because for me these two are the most influential factors to healthy and beautiful playing.
I am also open to incorporating the students musical interests e.g. Disney- and Pop-songs.

Lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English and German.

About Me

Hi, I am Thore!
I am a professional flutist from Germany who studied in the Netherlands and is currently based in Košice, Slovakia.

For me music is the most important thing in my life and sharing it with others gives me great joy. Playing chamber music or playing in a symphony orchestra are my big passion but also sharing my musical knowledge while teaching and learning from my students are important to me.

During my studies I have been following Methodology lessond with Raymond Honing where I have been able to gain a lot of knowledge about playing flute.
This knowledge I could broaden even further by seeking input from a vast variety of teachers in various masterclasses from which the most influential one has been in summer 2024 where I got acquainted with Giampaolo Pretto and his school „Dentro Il Suono“.
