During a lesson I encourage the student to work on: posture, breathing and the position of the mouth (embouchure), helping the projection of sound; the development of the tone; i teach the student how to phrase and play a beautiful melody; techniques of improvisation; understanding harmony; having confidence in his/her playing skills; techniques of listening and interacting with the rhythm section; learning new songs and experiencing different styles of music; Introductions to key saxophonists. Daniel is a music director and pianist with a unique and varied musical background. In high school, Daniel began his professional career accompanying musical theatre productions, before working as a répétiteur for the Seattle Opera Company’s Young Artists Programs. In 2013, Daniel moved to Montreal to study piano at the Schulich School of Music. Over the next six years, he was very active as an accompanist and music director for several musical theatre productions, a jazz pianist for many bands in the city, a composer and leader of his contemporary jazz trio, which won 3rd place at the 2017 Conad International Jazz Competition, and the co-founder and music director of an independent contemporary opera company. As a ballet pianist, Daniel trained at the École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec and has since worked with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Northern Ballet, and the Australian Ballet. Since returning to Seattle in 2020, he has worked with The 5th Avenue Theatre, one of the most prestigious musical theatres in the United States, as a pianist, music director and vocal coach. Recently relocated to Paris, he currently holds a position as pianist at the Paris Opera Ballet.

Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I have been playing guitar for many, many years now, as well as piano and flute. I have been teaching guitar, piano, flute and musical education for several years now to children, teenagers and adults. I also have a very good level in music theory, writing (jazz and classical), harmony as well as musical composition. My classes are based on listening as well as the development of the musical ear and musical creativity. I try to transmit my passion for music by making my students discover very varied horizons, from jazz to classical music, including current music and so-called traditional music. I also seek to develop autonomy in my students, an essential quality in order to flourish both musically and in everyday life. Growing up in the musical world, with a drummer father and a singer mother, Music is an integral part of my life. After several volunteer projects, I was spotted at Disneyland Paris for larger projects (8000 people per evening). I then obtained a certification as a "Singer in Current Music", with an impressive result of 49.63 out of 50. My last Gala was that of the "Pièces Jaunes" for Mrs. Brigitte Macron. I am also a Vocal Coach, from child to adult. All levels. We work on intonation, emotion, musicality and pronunciation (songs in several languages). My teaching method?
