I am a violinist and I will soon finish my studies at the IRMEP (Royal Higher Institute of Music and Pedagogy) in Namur in Didactics.
With a Bachelor's degree in violin and baroque violin, and a Master's degree in Music (specializing in violin), I have always been passionate about music and have been teaching for almost 10 years. I love sharing and passing on my passion!

During my lessons, I adapt to each person, I try to support each student as best as possible and at their own pace. I make sure that the course goes in a positive way, in a good mood and in confidence. I respect each course. Music is above all to have fun!

Depending on the level, the need, the objective and the personal work of the pupil, I try to help him progress on all points, through music. Whether it is in his overall outfit (violin, bow and entire body) or the ear (accuracy of notes, rhythms) and in his feelings (musicality, phrasing etc).
I also do my best to put the person at ease and to set specific goals for each upcoming class.
Extra information
Materials needed:
A violin, a bow, rosin, all in its case. We will then look together at the methods (sheet music) that will be useful to acquire.

About Me
Having obtained my DEM (Diploma of Musical Studies) in violin in 2017 and my CEM (Certificate of Musical Studies) in Musical Training, I always do my best to support each and everyone according to their goal (whether for play for fun, just to progress or for a competition ...). I have been teaching the violin in private lessons for 4 years (including 2 years in musical awakening). Graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Mons and professional musician (mainly in the field of early music), I offer lessons in instruments based primarily on an intuitive and bodily, where sound finds its place in you and around you .

As when one is small, one first learns to pronounce the words before reading them then to write them, I approach the learning of the instrument in the same way; to know the sound, to feel it, to play it and then to add to it the image to which it corresponds.

If you prefer a more "traditional" method, this is also possible.

For more advanced people, I offer the opportunity to do a more physical work, combining movement and play of the instrument, so that the body is just as in harmony as the music you play.

I accompany you in learning these magnificent instruments :) I adapt what we work together according to your desires and your needs. I work either in a group or individually. I work a lot on breathing and posture so as not to hurt myself and leave an important part to the imagination of the student in order to develop musicality.

My watchword is PLEASURE!

The lessons can take place at your place, at my place or by video.

For all levels and ages, and in several languages (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese).
Passionate about teaching, my permanent objective is the development of the student. I propose private lessons of violin, viola and solfege from the age of 5 years. I am a professor at the academy, graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master and Aggregation) and the Higher Music Center of San Sebastian in Spain. I teach for over 10 years, all levels and all ages.
The course is for students who want to move at their own pace, children and adults. For the youngest, I propose an introduction to the instrument through a playful pedagogy.
I move home on Namur and its surroundings

Formerly a management student and bank consultant, I am currently reorienting with the creation of an autonomous group home where the practice of improvised arts (music, dance, theater) is an integral part of the project. I study music for 10 years.

My approach to music is a bodily approach: from technically new situations for you, find the keys that lead you to achieve what you want slowly and without unnecessary tension. This tranquility in a precise slowness will then allow you to accelerate the tempo if you wish.

At the level of the rhythmic work present in any music, it is particularly to find a bodily feeling in the rhythm so as not to count it anymore. This allows you to focus on musical nuances. Many games and tools exist on this subject. Having learned music "late", I adapt easily to beginners or adults.

I rely on a human and personalized approach based on mutual exchange. I also seek to arouse curiosity in terms of listening, which in my opinion is essential in instrumental development.

Although this is essential for the transmission of knowledge, I take care never to scare away with too much theory. The primary purpose of music remains above all to take pleasure and share emotions.

As soon as his level allows it, I suggest that the student accompany him on guitar and singing so that he can feel the magic that operates when we play in a group.

Teacher and violinist, graduated from IMEP in Namur. Committed and passionate about pedagogy, I am delighted to be able to accompany you in learning your instrument!
My classes are for all students of all ages and all levels.
Having had several teachers, I have variable methods which adapt according to an observation made beforehand on the student.
These courses will be approached both from a technical point of view and from a musical point of view and then from a point of view of concern for interpretation.
I try to put people at ease above all and to be as human as possible. Mutual respect is obviously required. In my opinion, it is first and foremost the human side that will determine the quality of a course and the progress of a learner.
Obviously, this is not enough for the quality of a course, here is what I rely on to maintain this aspect:
The bulk of the work will be defined with the student, according to his needs but also according to his expectations.
I do not impose only one technique or method.
Indeed, thanks to my educational master's degree and my experience, I have at my disposal various tools that I will adjust according to the individual I have in front of me. Being a fresh graduate, I am trained in methods ranging from the oldest to the most recent.
Very patient and involved, I am sure that we will find the best in order to move you forward as quickly and solidly as possible.
I make it a point of honor to make our work efficient and of quality, but hidden under the signs of pleasure and fun above all.

Hello,

My name is Elijah. Currently a student at the Royal Institute of Music and Pedagogy of Namur, I offer violin lessons at all levels. With both a scenic and educational experience, I will be very happy to pass on to you or your child all that I have been able to learn during my life as a musician.
it is with a lot of enthusiasm that we can choose to approach the violin under two different aspects.

Academic:
Work in the tradition of the great violin schools (Russian, Belgian, French), with a technical program adapted to the needs, which will evolve over time. This type of work is very suitable for beginners, intermediates who wish to evolve in a slightly more "technical" dimension (without losing the primary objective which is music), or even more advanced people who wish to approach the great classical repertoire in a healthy and thorough way.

Popular:
An approach that is not in opposition to the first, quite the contrary. the violin finds its place in almost all the traditional music of the world, I would find it a shame not to approach them. Gypsy, Irish, Gypsy Jazz or others, are styles that I really like to explore with the student.

Naturally, I try to link the two to offer a teaching that allows both to progress effectively, and to have fun quickly. Afterwards, it is always possible to adapt according to the desires of each one.
The price is increased if I have to move.

Hoping to meet you as soon as possible,
Musically,
Elijah

I've been a drummer for almost 20 years now, and I've graduated from both Brussels Royal Conservatory of Music (classical percussion) and Mons Royal Conservatory of Music (pedagogy). I've been teaching percussion, the drums and music theory for a little more than 4 years now.

My students are always the real actors of my courses. No matter what instrument you are learning, be it percussion, the drums, marimba, vibraphone, or music theory, I always pay close attention to your personal goals, and together we devise a unique learning plan that adapts to your strengths as well as your weaknesses.
My courses are aimed at anyone who is willing to put effort into learning music; children or adults, complete beginners or more advanced players who wish to receive additional feedback and insight.

Autonomy, creativity, curiosity and listening skills are the true pillars of my methodology. We pay as much attention to technique as to musicality or listening skills.
Additionally, I provide tailored exercises, on-demand sheet music and transcriptions according to your needs, as well as additional resources and recommendations on my website to nourish your musical life and journey.

I teach the following:
-the drums, in various styles (rock, funk, jazz, shuffle, pop, world music, latin music, on-demand songs) and forms (Moeller technique, speed, rudiments, syncopation, breaks, solo, independence, musicality, double pedal, push-pull, etc.);

-percussion (2 or 4-mallet marimba and vibraphone, xylophone, timpani, cajón, hand percussion), in both contemporary and classical music styles;

-music theory, which can and will easily be integrated into my drumming or percussion courses, or can be taught as a separate course for music students who are seeking remedial education;

-harmony;

-sight reading techniques;

-perfect and relative pitch (experimental)

A drummer for many years, trained by professionals, it is now my turn to pass on this passion 🙂. I decided to expand my hours after receiving very positive feedback from my first students.

I currently teach beginners (adults and children). I particularly enjoy introducing them to this world. Step by step, we will learn the basics of the instrument, technique, rhythmic music theory (no stress, it's within everyone's reach and explained in a simple way 🤓) and we will quickly start playing music!

Students receive support that explains all the material covered in class.
50-minute lessons given in a dedicated room, on acoustic and electronic drums, and always in a relaxed atmosphere 🧘😊.

I can also travel, to be discussed according to your needs.

I offer courses tailored to each student, children and adults alike, taking into account their needs, desires and objectives, with one priority: the pleasure of playing and learning.

Violin lessons: progressive and personalized learning, with or without prior musical training.

Musical training: listening, rhythm, note reading, singing, notions of analysis and discovery of major musical periods, directly linked to instrumental practice.

Musical awakening (3 to 6 years): playful discovery of music through games, physical and sensory activities, in individual or multi-age group classes.
