I am an enthusiastic professional violinist and teacher. I can teach you classical violin, folk songs from Greece and Middle East, as well as your favourite pop tunes and tunes of almost any other music genre! Being well classically trained, I can help you build a solid violin technique and prepare you for giving your best during important music occasions such as exams, auditions, concerts etc. Also, being member of pop - oriental bands with concerts around Belgium, France and Greece, having played with several classical and contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, as well as coming from a family of musicians, my lessons are ideal for students who want to learn to be at ease when they eventually make music with others. :) All pieces can be taught either by ear, music scores or BOTH!! Teaching you basic and/or more advanced music theory to facilitate your violin learning if you don't know yet how to read and write music, can be easily done! My personal experience with music psychology and body movement techniques for musicians have enriched my knowledge and teaching skills. Extra attention is given during the lessons to not only help you build a strong and steadfast technique and develop your music ear, but also to acquire a confident presence and attitude for when you play for others! The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
