"GENTLE" YOGA CLASSES

Hatha and Yin Yoga classes for a gentle return to oneself. Perfect for everyone. Perfect as a complement to more intense physical activity.

Hatha yoga is a traditional form of yoga that aims to balance the body and mind through physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation. It is often considered the foundation for many other forms of yoga.

Yin yoga has its origins in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taoist philosophy and its postures are very close to classical yoga as we know it.

Yin yoga postures are performed gently and mindfully. They work in depth on the physical, mental, emotional and energetic levels through stretching and deep breathing. Each posture is held for a certain time in order to bring relaxation and appeasement.

About Me
I have had a passion for singing since I was very young. During these last fifteen years, I had the chance to integrate various musical formations, while continuing to study singing and music, which allowed me to enrich my experience both artistically and educationally.

In 2008, I felt the need to share my knowledge with people. I then turned to teaching singing and obtained my diploma in vocal expression (Ecole de la Voix, Annecy), a few years later.

Today I accompany novices, actors, speakers, musicians in the discovery of their vocal and artistic potential. I also lead singing and vocal expression courses throughout the year.

I think the voice is both a magnificent tool for self-development and a treasure that invites sharing and unity with the rest of the world.

This is what I try to convey day after day, as a trainer.

Intrigued by the power of sounds on the body and the mind, I also trained in sound therapy (recognized ASCA diploma) in order to introduce people to an approach to sound based on the care of the soul and the body. I therefore offer sound treatments for those who want it. Chromo-therapy (by colors) and litho-therapy (by stones) are also therapeutic supports that accompany each treatment that I give.

Also, passionate about yoga for several years, during my journey as a practitioner, I had the fabulous encounter with Yin yoga. Amazed and transformed by this approach, I then decided to train myself in this practice (cert.Yoga Alliance) in order to be able to transmit it to others. I am therefore also happy to offer yin yoga classes every week.

RYT-200 Yoga Instructor; Pre-Natal & Post-Natal Yoga; Reiki Practitioner
Peaceful Mind, Active Life; Positive Energy, Powerful Synergy

Like a lot of people, I used to work 9-6 in an office in the luxury retail industry. Day in day out in the busy city of Hong Kong, same routine over and over again. Stress was not getting any less and burden was not getting any lighter. I started questioning myself -

What was I fighting for?
What are the goals in life?
Some might have already figured it out, some are still trying to find out, but for sure everyone is different.

I started practicing yoga since 2012. When I first started, it was certainly not my favourite. I was always very impatient, fast-paced, easily stressed and agitated; so yoga for me was too calm, too slow and too still. For the very same reason, I decided to continue and overcome these weaknesses of mine and find balance in myself.

Throughout these years of practice, initially I was very focused on the body postures, always wanted to achieve the crazy and advanced-looking poses; and gradually later on, I was being more aware of the importance of state of mind and peacefulness, because yoga is about unity of mind and body.

I became certified as a RYT-200 Yoga Instructor in 2016. Yoga stresses on both physical and mental wellness: It is a balance of yin and yang - strength and flexibility; as well as focus of breaths and control of mind.

I have tapped into the world of yoga, and I have been lucky to learn from wise and inspiring individuals. Having the chance to share those lessons and experiences with people around fills me with joy. Everyone could use more yoga in their lives, so I hope to see you on the mat soon.

Namaste.
