About Me

I am professional violist based in Antwerp (Belgium) and I am member of the Chamber Orchestra of Belgium. I have done several tour through Europe playing in halls like Berlin Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw or Antwerp Queen Elisabeth Hall

However, teaching is my greatest passion and I'd love to share my knowledge with YOU.

Arabic Lute or Ud plays a very prominent role in Arabic music: people call him the 'sultan' of the Arabic instruments.

I am a professional violinist in modern violin. At the moment I am doing a specialization in baroque violin and early music. Therefore in my lessons we can work repertoire from the XIV century until XX century, delving into the specific characteristics of each period. I can also help to prepare the violinist who wants to do the entrance exams for the baroque violin.
In addition, I have also taken several courses in methods and didactics and I have also worked with students of all ages, so I have a lot of experiences in the process of starting the violin as a new instrument. I know classical music in its different styles from the 16th century to the 20th century, and I also have experience in the interpretation and teaching of Latin American music and improvisation.
My classes will be focused on deep learning of the instrument and its interpretation, but we will also find the fun part and we will make this time as enjoyable as possible.

Hi! My name is Charlie and I'm currently a member of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen Orchestra. Teaching has been the foundation of my musical life for over a decade. My teaching studio has hosted a private studio in Oslo, New York, Connecticut and now Antwerp. While living in New York I was the viola and violin professor at Pluckd Studio where I helped prepare students for music festivals, auditions and to establish a sound foundational approach to instrumental playing. While a student at Juilliard, I coached students in Juilliard’s Pre-College/MAP program and helped lead children’s concerts in Chicago, Austin, New York and Oslo. After completing my Bachelor's degree in violin at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, I did a year of Erasmus at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, in Germany. From September, I will start my Master at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen.
Discovering new ways of learning is very important to me. I like to seize opportunities and meet inspiring musicians during Masterclasses in Belgium and abroad.
