Do you have trouble reading music? Do you love listening to music, but don't understand time signatures, keys or chords? Music theory often sounds abstract, but with the right explanation and concrete examples it suddenly becomes a lot more logical, and even fun :) For whom? - Beginner or advanced musicians who want to better understand what they are doing. - Students preparing for music theory exams (e.g. music school, entrance exams). - Independent artists/producers who want to deepen their musical knowledge. - Anyone who is curious about the language behind music. What can you expect? - Clear explanation, at your own pace. - Theory made immediately applicable with examples on the piano. - Extra attention to insight instead of learning dry rules by heart. - Tutoring fully tailored to your level and goal (classical, pop, songwriting, production, ...). About me I obtained a Grade 8 diploma in Music Theory and also a Grade 8 Piano from the Royal Schools of Music. In addition, I hold a diploma in Audio Engineering from Hofa College. I am active as a music artist and producer myself. Thanks to this combination of classical training and practical experience, I know how important it is to make theory understandable, concrete, and musical. I use my own piano during lessons to clarify everything visually and audibly. Possible topics: - Learn to read music. - Scales, chords & harmony. - Form theory and analysis (classical or pop). - Rhythm, time signatures & tempo. - Music theory for producers/songwriters. - Songwriting. - Preparation for exams or entrance tests. Practical - 1-on-1 lessons, online or live (if you don't live too far away). - I provide materials, or we work with what you need. - No prior knowledge required. Lessons adapted to your level. 🎶 Feel free to send me a message with your questions or goals. We'll see how I can best help you.

Mandolin & Guitar Lessons for Children and Adults – All LevelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Discover the world of mandolin and guitar through personalised lessons adapted to your interests, goals, and experience level. I am a professional musician, teacher, and researcher based in Antwerp, holding a PhD in the Arts, a Master of Music, and a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. I also have several years of teaching experience in music academies in Belgium and extensive experience as a performer in Belgium, Greece, and abroad. Lessons are open to children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to more advanced students. Whether you would like to learn your first chords, develop your technique, improve your musical expression, or explore a particular style of music, lessons are tailored to your individual needs. For mandolin students, lessons can include classical repertoire, folk and traditional music, technique, music reading, ear training, ensemble playing, and stylistic interpretation. Guitar students can work on classical or folk guitar, accompaniment techniques, chords, rhythm, reading music, and repertoire development. My teaching approach combines technical development with creativity and musical enjoyment. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students can progress at their own pace while building confidence and musical skills.

What does a lesson look like? My philosophy is simple: practice is key. We dive into theory where necessary, but the goal is always to help you play better, not to rote learn. I want to get you ready as quickly as possible to play in a band, join a jam session, or simply play the music you love to hear. These are the standard ingredients of my lessons: - Songs & Repertoire: We'll quickly start by playing along to songs you enjoy. This way, you'll immediately put your technique into practice. - Creativity & Songwriting: You learn not only to play by ear, but also to create your own. How do you build a good bass line? How do you make sure it fits the drums? We work on your own musical voice. - Ear Training & Jamming: Do you want to be able to play along without sheet music? We train your ears so you recognize chords and melodies faster. We conclude every lesson with a short moment of improvisation: just dare to play and listen to what works. Feeling a bit stressed about improvising? No problem, so am I. I’ll happily help you through it, so you feel at ease in any setting. - Technique & "Theory at your fingertips": 1. We learn the neck of the bass blindly (where are the notes?). 2. We practice scales, modes, arpeggios, and inversions. Not as boring sequences, but as building blocks for creating more interesting bass lines. 3. For those who can read sheet music, we also include sight-reading. Can't read sheet music, but want to learn? Great, we'll do that. 4. We learn to play along with chord progressions. For absolute beginners: Have you just started? Then we will take our time to get the basics right. You will get to know the instrument well, and we will also cover music theory in an accessible way, so that you have a solid foundation. The end goal? That you feel confident on stage or in a rehearsal room, know what you're doing, and above all: enjoy playing.

I just had my first-ever flute lesson with Paco, and it was an amazing experience. He is incredibly kind, patient, and a truly wonderful person. Paco is clearly a master of his craft—his deep knowledge and passion for music shine through in his teaching. I felt comfortable and inspired throughout the entire lesson, and I’m already looking forward to my next one. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn or grow as a flutist!

We booked and experienced a trial lesson at few days ago. She is an experienced teacher with excellent teaching experience. She is willing to communicate and is willing to teach with different level of children. She explores the children's talents and also wiling to set learning goals with the children’s & parents. She uses her own teach way to arouse children's interest into music. My daughter likes Sana very much.

Milica is very meticulous and a very good pedagogue. My son has prior knowledge in music, but not in the piano. She explains very well to children and adapts the concept of work in accordance with the knowledge of the child. I highly recommend her.
