I love teaching piano and violin and have taught many students, adults and children, beginners to advanced. I have also taught children and adults with learning disabilities. Each lesson is tailored to each individual and pupils can learn to play through classic/rock/pop music. Lessons are fun they also include improvisation and music quizzes and music theory. Grades may also be worked towards and taken if pupil wishes and all my pupils have achieved merits or distinctions. I have played violin for shows in provincial theatres and in the Millitaire Orchestra at Mansion House, Guildhall, Tower of London and The Painted Hall in Greenwich and also played in various quartets for weddings. I have a PA system and play an electric violin for weddings and functions playing pop or classical music. I have also taken a year's course in introduction to Music Therapy which was a very interesting course and am currently studying for Certificate for Music Educators.

I am a very passionate pianist and piano teacher based in Bangalore, India currently and I have lot of experience teaching piano and keyboard to beginners of all ages, especially kids. I am articulate, organized and methodical in my teaching and I will make sure that the student understands perfectly and plays according to the demands of the music. I regularly give out practice assignments as homework and also motivate and exhort the students to give their best to what they are doing. I'm sure students will love the way I teach and improve greatly at playing the piano under my tutelage (with regular practice on their part, of course.) I can also train students for Trinity or ABRSM graded music exams. We can decide class timings after mutual discussion. An approximate blueprint of what I would be teaching starting from beginner to advanced: 1. Scales and fingering 2. Simple keyboard exercises 3. Reading sheet music notation using the rules 4. Teaching simple and popular songs through sheets 5. Chords, inversions, arpeggios, dynamics and articulation 6. Other rules of notation and learning more complex songs, improving sight reading 7. Interpretation of classical pieces or any other popular songs whose sheets are available

Passionate about learning guitar, keyboard and western vocal, over the years I have helped thousands of students. So far, I have worked as a Teacher with renowned music school (New Delhi) *** Lesson Details *** My objectives: to help students powerfully communicate through the essence of music and aid the development of children and adults by finding their strengths and weaknesses and to develop their skills and show their musical talents. I emphasize basic skills, good sight-reading, guitar technique, and theory. A beginner lesson may be 10-15 min. for warm-ups and scales, 10-15 min. theory and rest playtime. In three to six months the student will be able to read sheet music and should be able to perform simple songs. An intermediate lesson has more focus on music and technique from a specific genre. A specialty is preparation for guitar auditions or doing live or studio gigs. I enjoy teaching children from age 5 up to adults. *** Specialties *** I teach the basic skills very strongly, and also encourage students and challenge them, as well. I also have new techniques for teaching Electric, Acoustic and Classical Guitar. I do prefer to teach a weekly lesson. I find a student's strengths and weaknesses using various ways to encourage each student. I am very patient, kind, flexible, and enthusiastic and I love working with children as much as adults. I strongly support basic skills: sight-reading, pitch and tone.
