Ableton Lessons / Synthesizers & Drummachines / Technical Support & Studio Setup (Beginner to Advanced)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hello, my name is Toon (36). I have been producing music for the last 15 years. I can help out beginner producers in the proces as well as more advanced producers in Ableton Live. I also have a studio with synthesizers, drummachines, mixing desk, guitars, drums and mics where I can teach you recording and producing in Ableton. I can also help with the technical side like setting up your studio for recording, syncing hardware to computer, software installation etc.. We can start all the way from the beginning or focus on specific topics that you would have questions about. We will learn how to find a work flow that fits you best so you can start creating tracks. The following aspects will be covered in Ableton Live: 1. The essentials (efficiënt browsing, favorites, overview of the menu buttons...) 2. Arrangement, session and clip view 3. Audio clips and warping (the part which helps you understand how to remix songs and how to make new songs with existing samples) 4. How to work with MIDI 5. Recording and routing 6. Audio and MIDI effects 7. How to work with the built-in instruments in Live 8. How to arrange your song from start to finish 9. Mixing and mastering of your project If you would have any question, don't hesitate to message me! Extra information: I am based in Antwerp and Lommel/Mol, but if my travel/time costs get covered I am willing to come to other cities to teach at your home (a minimum session of 2 hours is required) Location: Olen (Provincie Antwerpen)

Learn electroacoustic composition - sound creation and sound techniquesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learn electroacoustic composition - sound creation and sound techniquesTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Who is this workshop for? For anyone curious about sound, all music, music in general, who wants to manufacture, build, examine ... (from 12 or 13 years old). Do you need to know music theory? No. But familiarity with music of various styles can be of great help. DJ? "Electro" music? No ! We will not learn here to be a DJ or to compose “dance-music”, “electro” music in the commonly understood sense, not even songs. Do you need to know the computer? It is better if it is, but learning can be done at the same time as musical research. Is this course a software learning course? No. I give the basics (only on Logic Pro X or Garageband) to be able to compose but I do not teach the deep use of software. Is it necessary to have a computer? Yes ! A "workshop" rather than a class? The course takes the form of a practical workshop, listening sessions, criticism of works. By computer? Everything happens on a computer once sound elements of all kinds have been recorded. Editing, transformation, mixing on software designed for this. No software required. The proposed route can be adapted to any multitrack sequencing software. The computer is only a tool, it is the composer who makes the music. Practically what do we do? The composer works “from the sounds” that he has most often recorded himself. He chooses them, assembles them, deforms them, mixes them according to his project, at will. of his intuition, his ideas and desires, gradually builds a music. For those who wish and need it, exercises are offered which allow to approach at the same time techniques of realization and precise musical proposals. Composition / Invention It is not a question of declaring themselves all composers, but of affirming that we can all ask ourselves composers' questions, with both seriousness and imagination. To confront the game of a free invention. What musical orientation? What style ? This is a “musical research” process: seek to invent a music beyond traditional values - note pitches, regular pulsations, instrumental timbres - without forbidding all that. A “music of sounds”, in the broadest possible sense, a “music of all sounds “as opposed to what one could obviously call too simplified“ a music of notes ”. This choice, which apparently seems to shake up musical uses, is nevertheless part of a tradition of more than a century and rich in a repertoire that is too little known and which has had various names: - Electroacoustic music - Concrete music - Acousmatic music - Contemporary music Finally, we each have a precious tool to never forget: our ear, and a fascinating and rewarding job to lead, questioning about oneself.

Electronic Music Production (Ableton, Beatmaking, Sound Design, Recording, Mixing)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I can help out beginner to intermediate producers. We can start all the way from the beginning or focus on specific topics that you would have questions about. I can teach you to produce tracks in an intuitive way without the use of music theory but can also incorporate the basics of music theory in the lessons. I’m specialised in sound design, playing live sets on stage and developing the identity of artists. It helps me to get intermediates to the next level. When you want to start with music production you need to work in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I work mainly with Ableton because it's very intuitive and "jammable". It's a great DAW to work in, especially for beginners. Preferably my lessons will be focused on Ableton but I can also work in other DAW's because the fundamentals are mostly the same in all of them. The following aspects will be covered in Ableton Live: 1. The Basics (overview of the layout) 2. Arrangement, session and clip view 3. Working with sequencers and MIDI 4. Recording and routing 5. Audio and MIDI effects 6. How to work with the built-in instruments in Ableton Live. 7. How to go from a basic beat to a finished track. 8. Mixing and mastering 9. The basics of music theory 10. Intermediate: sound design, synthese, synthesizers, sampling, field recordings 11. Intermediate: developing your own liveset with MIDI controllers, drumcomputers and synthesizers 12. Intermediate: developing your own sound and identity If you have any question, don't hesitate to message me!

“ This is review is based after my very first lesson and I look foreword to doing the other lessons. Cameron was very professional; he knows his stuff and most importantly was able to understand what I was trying to achieve and suggests ways to accomplishing this. He has given me some home work which includes a listening list and feedback on developing some old pieces and a new project. I feel really motivated. I have a lot of experience in learning different disciplines to post grad level so I can say with some authority that clicking and connecting with a tutor is not a guarantee regardless of how knowledge they are..there are other qualities in addition to knowledge that is needed and as a a tutor, Cameron has what it takes. I dont really leave reviews so it is a testament that i have done so. ”

“ Emanuele is a wonderful teacher. He's very friendly and accessible, not the "intimidating expert" type at all. He's very open and flexible in meeting students at the level they are, with no judgement at all, but with genuine interest and care, instead. He's very knowledgeable but also keeps the lesson light and fun. He's supportive and actively tries to help you improve, exploring your individual strengths and weaknesses with you, instead of sticking to any pre-conceived ideas. His comments never feel like he's correcting you, they always feel supportive. You can feel he loves what he's doing, and love and joy for piano-playing is the feeling you leave with after a lesson. Highly recommended. ”

“ I had an amazing experience working with Chiara as my vocal trainer. She is incredibly inspiring and supportive. I came to her with a song I had written, needing help to ensure my voice was in key, and she truly brought it to life. Not only does my song sound so much better now, but Chiara was also so patient and understanding of my limited music experience. Thanks to her guidance, I feel much more confident and excited for my next open mic night. Highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their voice or gain confidence in their musical journey! ”
