Dear reader, The lesson will be tailored-made depending on your needs and interests. My curiosity and knowledge are versatile and broad. Here is an example of subjects we could touch upon together: - Experimental music composition with an emphasis on electronic music (fixed media composition, live set, multichannel composition), composition mixing instrumental and electronics, algorithmic music - Music programming (SuperCollider) - Experimental music history + specific care of being as inclusive and diverse as possible - Listening sessions - Creating bridges between classical and experimental music - Notation: looking at different scores or ways of writing music than the more traditional ones - Sound synthesis techniques, spectral analysis of sounds and general understanding of timbre - Music theory with a specific emphasis on harmony and so-called rational tuning systems - Basics of recording, mixing, editing, and processing sounds (Live Ableton) - Music research — for instance, if you have to handle written music assignments or carry on specific music research projects - Coaching & methodology to enable you to carry your music project from A to Z - Sharing experiences in the music field and offering guidance and motivational support I am especially interested in working with female and non-binary students who I believe still need extra support in this field but am generally open to all kinds of people, ages and backgrounds! Hello ! I'm Etienne, I'm a professional electronic music producer and guitarist. I have been practicing MAO (computer-assisted music) for more than ten years, notably within a Techno music group in which I was able to train in sound engineering with a qualified engineer. of INFA. I was also able to perfect my approach to composition by training with a teacher at the American School of modern music Paris. I'm part of a Techno duo Sana + Nasa (more recently renamed "AZA:ZEL"). We are in the artist catalog of the booking agency La Quarantaine, our music has been published on labels such as SCTR, Carcères Records, Jaelos and Afterhours and we have had the privilege of playing several times in Paris, Berlin and Zagreb. I also had the opportunity to do podcasts on The Techno Children and Eletronic Subculture and finally on television on Clubbing TV (international broadcast) I started teaching music (electronic music and guitar) in 2019 and I regularly give lessons to around ten students, both girls and boys! Everything can take place in my studio as if by video. I give lessons for both advanced level students and beginners who have no experience. I currently have a Techno project, a beatmaking project (selling pop, rap and electro instrumentals) and I am also part of a metal band... which means that I teach several styles of music ! Together we will be able to discover: - composition (arrangement) - Mixing and mastering - DJing I can also advise you on the equipment you will need (a computer and a good headset are more than enough at the start) and I will help you install everything you need, free installation ;) There are 1000 training courses on YouTube, the only problem is that there is food and drink, a lot of training provided and not always in the right order. I first started learning computer music on my own and it was a long process! Especially because I had to unlearn a lot of things. As a teacher, I will be able to support you in your learning and guide it so that you can ingest the right information in the right order and ensure that you have understood it perfectly. In short, I will save you a lot of time, time which can be counted in years of learning. One of my students started with me 5 months ago, he started with almost no knowledge of computer music, today he plays regularly for Darude and his latest creation will be released on a label. I'm not going to lie to you, he worked a lot to get there, but what he achieved took me years to do and it very probably couldn't have been done without training. With a little work and rigor you could be the next to achieve this feat! If you have any questions about the course, do not hesitate to send me a message. See you soon, I hope, Stephen

Hello! I am a musician offering tutorials in piano, trumpet, cornet, harmony, counterpoint, theory, and other general music-y things in English! I’m also available to direct rehearsals and concerts. As a composer I have a diverse range of skills. Whilst most of my work is contemporary classical concert music, I have a good grounding in tonal harmony and am experienced in writing music more typical of past eras and for events such as opening ceremonies and medals ceremonies. I also have knowledge of jazz, having worked in this genre. Lessons comprise of me examining the student's work, discussing it with them (how they've written it, what decisions they've made, what they wish the music to do and be), as well as discussing any suggestions I have to further enhance the effectiveness of the music and their ideas. Lessons can also involve examining works by other composers, giving the student inspiration and knowledge, as well as learning about different compositional techniques, which can include ways to deal with harmony, rhythm, texture, structure, and development of ideas. Please contact me to chat about your/ your child’s musical goals and ambitions and to arrange a lesson. I am able to travel to homes and offices and have a flexible schedule to meet your needs! I have also taught over Skype in the past, where there’s the option of screen sharing, making it possible to demonstrate things on screen. Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon! The course will always be focused on each student's objective; depending on their goal, we can cover different techniques, concepts, and more. The idea is for students to enjoy music and their instrument, always keeping in mind where they're headed. In class, we can cover two types of guitar music writing: tablature, notes on the staff, and all the music theory that this requires. We can also study different musical genres, pop, rock, metal, blues, etc. It all depends on the choice of the student.
