Music lessons are a space to learn and experience meaningful connections amongst individuals through discussing musical material as a means of expression and thoughtfulness. In the individual lessons we discuss possibilities of thinking about sounds and ways of bringing sounds to life in different ways. Violin lessons are in particular a great way of exploring the connectedness of the thought, feelings, and body through learning the instrument as well as reading music. In each lesson, we discuss ways of developing a better understanding of this connection using different methods; the methods used for each student can vary according to their needs. As a result, students will be able to play different music on the violin and improvise on the instrument. In music theory, ear training, and composition lessons we delve into the basics of music theory in Western Classical tradition, the history of it, and look at some examples as well as practical exercises for a better understanding of the material. Through the process of learning, we will explore different ways of implementing different theoretical aspects of the sound in creative practice.

I have been performing, touring and teaching around the world: New York, Washington DC, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, and more! I have grown up with educaiton both in jazz and classical practices, and therefore am very versatile and fluent with both worlds which i believe creates a unique and interesting perspective for approaching music. Logic Pro is a powerful but complex software tool that can be used to create everything from very basic recordings and compositions, to huge professional productions. You'll learn all the skills you need to set up and use Logic Pro; how to record and edit audio, use software instruments and plug-in effects, and how to mix and process your sounds. Lessons can either be conducted online, or at my studio, if you're local to Plymouth (it's not in a restaurant, I don't know why it says that!) I've been using Logic Pro for almost 25 years and have taught it at University level.
