Trusted teacher: Your child has difficulty with math, physics, chemistry or natural sciences. It cannot process the subject matter and you want to do something about it. As a teacher (engineer with a certificate of pedagogical competence), I have been teaching mathematics, physics, chemistry and natural sciences in secondary education for 25 years. I am an independent teacher in secondary occupation and recognized by the Flemish Community. Because of my experience and empathy I can make the abstract terminology and exercises that your child does not understand anything understandable. I tutor students from secondary education to higher education students. From Pythagoras to quadratic equations, logarithmic and exponential functions, limits, derivatives, integrals, ... Everything is possible! Students preparing for the examination board often experience problems in the subjects of mathematics, chemistry or physics. Through intensive guidance I can greatly increase the chances of success. I have a lot of experience with the online course of "Inzicht", Geogebra, interpreting subject sheets, ... The tutoring can take place both on weekdays and in the weekend. Students with dyscalculia are remedied by practicing the subject matter, using tips, mnemonics and a lot of patience. Experience shows that the way of mathematical thinking in dyscalculia is different and therefore requires a more structured, step-by-step approach. References are available. The tutoring sessions are given online every day via Zoom. Zoom has a handy online board where we can write at the same time. It is as if we are sitting next to each other and writing on the same sheet of paper. If you would like tutoring, please download the Zoom app and send me the email address you linked to it.

I feel that my desire to help and my interest in meeting new people makes me successful when faced with new challenges I was appointed Head of Science at Salesian College Farnborough because I have a passion for math and science and love helping others. I studied Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering at Bath University. During my studies, I spent a year working on CERN: The Large Hadron Collider and was awarded the "Inspirational Leader" award by my university Since then, I have tutored mathematics and physics to a large number of international students in Geneva, London, and online. I have tutored privately and also onsite at two international schools: College du Leman in Versoix and St Dunstan's College in London. I love to learn, and if I can help someone enjoy learning as well, that is amazing. My goal is to continue to grow as a person and as a professional. I want to continue to expand my understanding of math and technology. I especially enjoy simulating and modeling engines and drivetrains. I live and breathe football, played in teams for years, in college, and still do today for CERN. I also enjoy cooking, chess, and virtually any sport or game.

Trusted teacher: - Berlin based educator with over 12 years' of experience working as a maths tutor and as a classroom teacher. - I specialise in teaching GCSE Maths as well as GCSE English Literature. - Experience with the IB and with UK school entrance exams. - Experience helping students to transition to the UK system. Particular experience working with young people whose neurodiversity impacts on their learning. I bring a comprehensive understanding of the syllabus requirements, as well as a sensitivity to the needs of students of varying abilities and learning styles. I can offer support alongside the student's schooling, or can design a full homeschooling course. Classes can be online, in person or hybrid. I have a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MFA in Creative Writing from St Andrews. Before becoming a tutor and teacher I worked as a government economics advisor, specialising in Education Policy. I have taught at Brookways School, Sutton; The Sultan's School, Muscat; and worked as supply staff at various schools across London. Oustide of teaching, I am a poet, theatre maker, facilitator and play therapist. This helps me to keep lessons engaging and fun. My teaching begins with a good relationship with the student. I also offer classes in drama and creative writing, to adults as well as young people. Selected Case Studies: O (16) and A (14) 2021-2022 (Maths and English GCSE) I home schooled O for one academic year, working on English and Maths GCSE. O has ASD and needed to work with a tutor with experience adapting to his particular learning needs. I worked with O for 12 hours each week. The role required adaptability to the family's schedules and O's varying ability to engage with the work. I now work with O's sister A on maths. A was 14 when we worked together and I was able to help her to plug gaps in her maths knowledge. Zoe (15-16) 2021-2023 (English GCSE) "Sean has been tutoring my daughter for 1.5 years. He engaged well with Zoe who found him inspiring and fun to work with. Sean is thoughtful and diligent, he understood the challenges she is facing with creative writing and constructed the lessons to suit her needs. He was also willing to change the content of a class and adapt to her requests at times that she was struggling to follow up. We feel very lucky to have had Sean supporting Zoe for her GCSE creative writing and would certainly recommend him to other families." (Athina, mother) Bert (15-16) 2021-2022 (Maths and English GCSE) "I would not hesitate to recommend Sean, who tutored my son Bert throughout his GCSEs to success. Bert, who is dyslexic also struggles with ADHD, he's not a natural student and struggles to engage. Sean showed outstanding compassion, rigour and tenacity around getting Bert on task, giving him context of the syllabus and supporting his learning. Sean is kind, thoughtful and holds a firm bar on what is expected/needed from his students. For Bert this worked super well, fostering a relationship of mutual respect. We enjoyed to have Sean stay with us during various holidays and he was flexible in his plans to accommodate different needs and locations. Sean is a great tutor and a really lovely guy and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him." (Rachel, mother)

Trusted teacher: Primary school teacher, I give tutoring lessons for all levels I am a CE2 class teacher and a FLE (French as a foreign language) teacher in training centers. I have a certification in FLE and 2 masters and a master in teaching in progress I use fun and interactive methods I currently provide personalized tutoring for primary and secondary school students in all subjects. I offer sessions adapted to the needs and pace of each student Methodology: - Initial assessment: For each support I will do a diagnostic assessment to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses in the subject concerned (mathematics, French, science, etc.). - Personalized approach: The courses are adapted to the student's level, with individualized monitoring. This includes practical exercises, targeted revisions and explanations adapted to each learning pace. - Progressive objectives: we set short and long term objectives together to motivate the student. - Learning techniques: I use interactive methods (online exercises, educational games) and revision sheets to help memorize and understand key concepts (flashcards, etc.) Type of sessions: - Course of the sessions: - Review of previous concepts: 10-15 minutes to review the points covered during the last lesson. - Lesson of the day: 30-45 minutes to present and explain a new concept. - Practical exercises: 20-30 minutes to apply what has been learned, offering exercises adapted to the student's level. - Questions and corrections: 10-15 minutes at the end to answer the student's questions and correct mistakes together. - Regular monitoring: I plan regular assessments to adjust the learning method and adapt the pace of the lessons. So what are you waiting for? Join me for an unforgettable adventure!

Trusted teacher: Dear Students, Dear Parents, I propose Maths courses for middle school, secondary school (mainly for the Maths speciality with or without Maths Expertes) and technical college (BTS). The ADVANTAGES of taking lessons with me: - Video-conference lessons with all notes sent to you at the end of the session. This way, you can calmly re-read the content of the session. - If you wish, I can also leave work between two sessions and correct it. - Flexible hours: Available almost all the time during school vacations. Out of vacations: Wednesday afternoons, weekends, Tuesday mornings. ------------------- I would like to help you with your mathematical reflection and rigor, in particular by understanding the logic of reasoning. I can help you prepare for a test or give advice on a failed test (which happens, no need to panic!). My methods are based on pedagogy and attentiveness. I think it's important to approach maths exercises with serenity, and try to step back from the real difficulty of the problem. Because sometimes stress and a lack of confidence in one's capabilities make each assessment very difficult when it doesn't have to be! You need to work on and, above all, understand the basics of the Chapter if you want to progress serenely. I'm here to help you succeed! ------------------- Example of a session: - Reworking exercises seen in class - Partial or total review of the Chapter studied - Introduction to mathematical writing methodology - Help with homework assignments If you wish, I can also leave Math exercises between two sessions and correct it. ------------------- I'm just starting out on the Platform so don't have any reviews yet but the students I've helped in the past have given me positive feedback. Contact me today to book your session and find out how I can help you achieve your math goals! Technical details: - You can pay via the app.

Trusted teacher: Math lessons: Support + Coaching + Methodology = SUCCESS 🚀✨ What if we gave more meaning to mathematics 😉? The loss of meaning (or even logic) and interest, the feeling of feeling overwhelmed and discouraged by the lessons... it's a feeling that many people have experienced when learning math! My own experience of these difficulties made me want to help learners find pleasure in their study journey. After obtaining an engineering degree, life led me to question the learning process itself. I then became passionate about neuroscience (in addition to personal development in general) and have helped more than 50 students at home and online in recent years. 🌻 Why choose my support? - My experience as a student: it is easier to put yourself in the shoes of a student who has difficulties when you can say “I've been there”. Indeed, it is my student journey that allowed me to understand the challenges of learning and how to get out of it! - An adapted approach: thanks to my sensitivity for psychology and my experience in tutoring, I know how to adapt to the person in front of me. Depending on his emotions/beliefs or his personality, I adapt my speech, the objectives and the organization of the lessons. - A knowledge of the functioning of the brain: Self-taught and passionate about neuroscience, I support learners on scientifically validated techniques and I bring understanding to our learning processes. - Certification in neuroscience: By 2024, I will be certified as a practitioner in neuroscience by Dr. Mario BEAUREGARD, Canadian neuroscientist emeritus. This training allows me to support learners on their potential but also to change their visions of themselves through recognized studies in neuroscience. - “Local” virtual support: Some people consider online courses to be impersonal. Through my support, I accompany the learners before and AFTER the lessons. Although the lesson time is important, the before/after is just as important. So I set up monitoring and support tools. Technology is good 🙂 - Schedule flexibility: In general, face-to-face courses do not allow you to choose a “last-minute” course. I offer my students slots every day between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. (French time). This gives them time to settle down after the study day before resuming homework/classes or even to have a class before a surprise quiz the next day! 🌻 Why teaching? I need to feel useful. Through teaching, I help students of all ages regain confidence and better understand themselves in order to perform and have fun. From my experience, I like to transmit what I would have liked to have on my way. 🌻 My study background After a Scientific Baccalaureate in France (CEGEP for Quebec), I turned to a Preparatory Class for the Grandes Ecoles (CPGE also called Maths sup/Maths spé). Over these 2 years, the school level required a square organization to pass the entrance exams to engineering school. This is when my thoughts on methodology began. I then obtained an engineering degree in France in Industrial Engineering. Homeschooling allowed me to make ends meet during my studies. I then established my practice and my own teaching methodology before leaving for Canada in September 2021 and making this dream come true! 🌻 My favorite mantra? “Be the change you want to see in the world” by our dear Gandhi 🙂 🌻 My favorite subject? Functions ; because we can juggle with many other mathematics chapters and subjects Methodology ; whether it is providing the student with relevant support or proposing innovative ideas so that he or she takes pleasure in studying! 🌻 How classes work - My lessons are based on 3 points: Adaptation, Follow-up and Pleasure - We make a first call to get an idea of the objectives, the challenges, the learning context - The first lesson is used to understand each other, to create an atmosphere where the student will feel confident to express their difficulties/emotions. Depending on the subject, I do a first test on the basics of mathematics. - Secondly, I create your digital collaboration space and we plan a first action plan with the next courses. (With some exceptions, I always give exercises to rework what has been seen together) - I can be reached every day of the week for questions and advice - Have access to: Whatsapp, Google Drive and Google Meet 🌻 Class schedule Currently in Canada, I am available from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. (French time)! I can be reached every day and I offer last-minute slots every day.
