I teach one-to-one Maths and Physics to GCSE, A-Level and university students, online and in person around Birmingham.

I hold an MSc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with Distinction from the University of Chester, where I now teach and assess postgraduate students as a visiting lecturer. I care more about a student knowing why a method works than memorising the steps, because understanding is what survives exam pressure when a question is worded unfamiliarly. Lessons are structured but relaxed. Students should feel comfortable asking the questions they think are silly, because those are usually the ones that matter most.

I'm patient with mistakes and honest about what still needs work. If a student isn't ready for a topic, I'll say so and we'll go back a step rather than pretend otherwise.

There are three things I'd like to say... - Maths is a game, using brain gymnastics, a responsible discipline applied everywhere, universaly used and one of the most important ones, but still a game and with similar joy it keeps inside of itself released when one is winning or solvng a Maths problem... - the most beautiful and elegant and almost always the shortest, as so, solution is - the best one - and that is both for what I mostly seek for and teach for regarding Maths.. - and third but not less important is a message - Maths is actually more simple than one, who fears, often thinks it to be ! Along with being an optimist the best way to be free of fear is - to start learning on time and being regular with it.
