I am a high school history and geography teacher and I really appreciate teaching others the joy of learning. After studying to become a teacher at the Humboldt University in Berlin, I taught at various secondary schools and high schools - in my subjects as well as in various subjects such as German, English, mathematics and biology. This temporary work has funded my stay in South America for the past ten years, where I have volunteered with my wife Judith, learning Spanish and Portuguese in the process. When it comes to tutoring, I aim to increase the student's self-efficacy and confidence in their own abilities, to learn core competencies that are important across subjects, and to convey fun with new knowledge. It is also important to me that the student recognizes the areas in which he can practically apply what he has learned. In addition to the subject lessons, I have also given individual language lessons in German and English for many years. My goal is for the language to be experienced with the head, heart and hand and thus learned more quickly.

My way of teaching is to make your experience immersive, fun and educational at the same time, to reduce discouragement and boredom while still be able to gain knowledge. My lessons can be booked as 1 hour slots and can be negotiable to 2 hour slots. All of my lessons will occur after 6pm as I feel it is most appropriate for both parties. I have tutored the years below me on behalf of my school as a GCSE student but now I am moving onto A-levels and hoping to be able to teach someone with all of the knowledge I retained for 5 years. Therefore, if you are of the ages 11-16 and wanting to make biology feel like a breeze, you are free to get an adult to contact me to arrange time slots for you. Everything will be quick, efficient and easy!

The student dictates the pace of the course to follow according to their needs. The material is at your expense, the most optimal is to follow a book that will be determined after a level test and/or objectives to be achieved. In addition, multiple resources are offered to complement the learning activity.

For everyone at any age or any level who wants to learn / improve their german. The most important thing to know is that I am here to help, not to judge. I like an open communcation when it comes to my lessons, let me know what you want to practice (vocabulary, grammar, etc. or just talking).

I have been a student of German the same as you, so I hope to be able to show you the best ways that I've found for learning a new language. We can focus on the areas that you find most difficult, and find the best ways to help you get over any barriers, focusing on your interests to make it more of a relaxed conversation than a controlled lesson. I'm quite flexible with timings, just let me know what works for you. I would strongly urge anyone to take up German, it is such a logical and interesting language to learn, and once you're used to it, it is not as difficult as they would have you think - especially if English is your native language. I have taken German from GCSE, and have just finished my A-Level in it this summer. In October, I will be moving to Münster in West-Germany to work as an Au-Pair and continue to better my proficiency in the language and the culture, which I am really excited for!! (This should not affect my long-term ability to help you in your learning). I look forward to hearing from you :)

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth, and I am about to commence my third year of studying German and Spanish at the University of Cambridge. I am offering lessons in German (A* at A-Level and First Class in first year of Uni), Spanish (Grade 9 at GCSE and First Class in first year of Uni), and English Literature (Grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A-Level). I am also about to embark on my year abroad, during which I will spend 6 months working in Uruguay and 3 months working in Germany. It is for this reason that my lessons are only online at the moment. I am a friendly tutor and I am willing to adapt my lessons to suit your needs and the learning methods which work best for you. I find that interactive learning methods are most effective, especially when it comes to modern languages, however I appreciate that this does not necessarily work for everyone, and I am keen to be very flexible to make the learning experience not only useful, but fun too! I am an organised planner, and I will make sure that the content of our lessons is relevant to the exam board you are following. All of my classes are suitable for beginners up to A-Level standard.
