Do you want to capture the world around you with just a pen and a sketchbook — anytime, anywhere? This class is all about urban sketching, expressive linework, and the art of seeing. Sketching is the most portable and intimate form of drawing. You don’t need fancy tools — a simple pen, a pocket-sized notebook, even an eyeliner can become the starting point of your next artwork. In this course, you will learn: ✨ Foundation techniques of pen sketching, line weight, shading, composition ✨ How to draw quickly and confidently from life ✨ The elegance of Chinese line art (“白描baimiao”): clarity, rhythm, and spirit ✨ How to develop your own style through bold experimentation ✨ How to capture the soul of a moment — people, pets, architecture, landscapes We will explore Copenhagen together and discover sketching spots: the peaceful fields, the modern skyline, hidden cafés, cozy streets, and everything in between. Every corner of this city has a story waiting to be drawn. More importantly, you will learn how sketching becomes a part of everyday life: 🍺 A bar sketch that earns you a free drink 🐾 A quick drawing of your cat or dog while they nap 🧡 A portrait sketch that becomes a charming conversation starter 🎁 A handmade gift far more personal than anything you can buy Sketching is not just a skill — it’s a lifestyle, a gentle way of observing the world and leaving a trace of beauty wherever you go. Whether you’re a beginner or simply eager to draw more freely, this class welcomes you.

Trusted teacher: Hi there! I’m Anastasia. If you’re into fine arts, be it your hobby or future career, I’m here to help! You may be one of the following: - A fine arts student looking to get additional guidance - A recent graduate looking to further hone their skills - A working artist facing a new challenge or an unfamiliar style - A self-taught artist looking for more academic training - Or just a creative person wishing to turn their vision into reality. I usually prefer the following format: 1. You send in your request 2. We connect to discuss it 3. We begin our lessons Our lessons are 2 hours long. If you’re a beginner and have no background in fine arts at all, we may have to cover some theory first. If you’re interested, do let me know. Or if you have something different in mind – just ask, and I’ll do my best to meet your specific needs. I can promise you my full attention and a very competitive rate. Nowadays I teach the most of lessons to adults and have successfully prepared students for different art schools and colleges. The classes are very interactive. The main idea is not to lecture you or do the work for you, but rather help you tap into your creative self and arm you with the right tools to extract your unique ideas! I try to combine in my teaching process teaching methods from brilliant masters I have met in my life in art colleges and Academy I study in (Pjankov, Dergunov, Bistrov, Denderina) and also from famous Old Teachers of Art (Soviet Art Masters: Crimov, Chistjakov, Kurkov, and European Art School Masters: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Caravaggio ). When I teach , I do put myself in my students’ shoes. Also I use MY own art experience as an active fine artist who has faced different topical issues, so that YOUR works can suit modern art contexts.

Trusted teacher: Hello, Let me introduce myself, Marylène, professional storyboarder, graduated in animation cinema. I offer serious drawing lessons adapted to the level of the student, from the beginner to the young professional through the animation student. During the first lesson, we will talk about the student's expectations and set the artistic objectives by defining a personalized program. I would assess the level of the student, his strengths and weaknesses for a tailor-made course, taking into account to nourish his universe and his sensitivities with a background both cultural and technical. I teach both the basics of solid drawing to beginners (perspective, proportion, composition, volume, anatomy, gesture, posing, principles of animation ...) as well as to students / future students in animation cinema, to young professionals who want to specialize in storyboard or who have questions about how to develop a TV pitch. For the storyboard part, my specialty, I will teach the basics of cinematographic language (types of framing, transitions, camera movement ...) and I will follow with basic exercises to be able to make parts of portfolio. Indeed, I can also support the student for the realization of a portfolio / demoreel for animation schools. I could guide him to feed and build his book taking into account the expectations of schools and studios. I travel to Lyon for a travel fee, and also give online lessons via Webcam and screen sharing on Skype. Students will have free follow-up by phone, email, whatapps or facebook as well as personalized feedback on the exercises. My teaching areas: - Academic drawing - Preparation for entry to art schools - Dynamic Posing / Gesture - Storyboard - 2D animation - Pitch TV series - Integration into the professional world (portfolio / demoreel / CV) French and English.

Trusted teacher: I was talking to a colleague of mine and we were working as art teachers and she asked me, “Doesn’t it happen to you sometimes that you draw something and you can’t make a resemblance between it and your drawing?” I answered her with utmost confidence, “Of course not, the amateur artist is the one who makes mistakes once and gets it right the other time, while the professional can make a resemblance every time he draws.” It was clear on her face that she didn’t like my answer… What made me confident in myself to say these words, and before that the words were actually able to achieve them, is my practice of the theory of measurements and angles, to which I attribute the credit, after God, for making me a professional. Now, what if I told you that someone had a talent for drawing and turned it into a set of steps that you could understand and implement? Do you know what that means? It means that anyone can draw, not just the talented. Let me explain in more detail. The theory of measurements and angles is a theory whose mission is to analyze the mental processes that take place in the artist’s mind, which enable him to draw, and turn them into steps. This means that this theory can make you draw even if you do not have any talent... Yes, as you read, this theory consists of three rules that anyone can understand and then make the necessary effort to apply what they understand. As a result, their well-deserved reward will be to have the ability to draw anything, even if they originally lack talent, so what if you have the talent and just want to hone it? However, it is important to note that this theory is not suitable for someone looking for an easy or quick method that relies on some tricks. Rather, it was designed to help people who are willing to put in the time and effort required to achieve their desired goal, which is to build a solid skill for a professional person who is confident that every time he wants to draw something, he will succeed in doing so. Important note: This course consists of seven lectures and the total course time is one hour and twenty-four minutes. Important note: I will send the links to the video lessons to the student. After the student finishes watching and applying, he will send his drawing to me. I will make a video of critique and correction, and then send the video to him.

Trusted teacher: Hi there, I'm Kim! I hope you’re well! Thanks for dropping by. About the course: I'm here to share all I've learned with students of all skill levels and age groups. As with many things, the best way to learn is to do. I will therefore take you through the entire professional process of designing a character for an animated project - from the fundamentals of anatomy drawing, to the initial research stage to iteration sketches, all the way through to the final model sheets! By the end, you will have created a memorable character that is unique, full of appeal, exuding personality, and ready to be animated. And you will have gained a valuable insight into the weird and wonderful world of professional character design. --------------------------------- About me: I am a professional character designer and illustrator from Australia, currently based in London, UK. In 2019, I graduated with the Bachelor of Design in Animation with First Class Honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. Since graduating, I have had the privilege of working as a character designer and animator on the Netflix animated series, ‘Adventure Beast,’ enjoyed a design internship with Cheeky Little Media, and have also had the pleasure of illustrating several children's picture books for Playtime Books. These days, I am designing characters for Hey Daisy Moon, and have been tutoring character design, cartooning, and general drawing skills to students of all ages since 2021. If you have a passion for bringing exciting characters to life, or just want to improve your drawing skills, I would love to help you achieve your goals! In any case, I wish you a wonderful day. Kim

Leia is a super knowledgeable and personable teacher. She tries to understand what are your goals when trying to improve your drawing skills and adapts the lessons to help you with it. After a couple of lessons I already started thinking differently when approaching a blank canvas and it has been really helpful for me when trying to portray what I’ve got in mind.
