I am a certified Ballet and Barre instructor with official training from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and extensive teaching experience. I have been practicing ballet since the age of three, developing a deep passion and strong technical foundation in dance. I offer Ballet and Barre classes tailored to all levels, from complete beginners to experienced students looking to refine their technique. My classes are designed to improve posture, coordination, flexibility, balance, and strength, combining the elegance and discipline of ballet with the benefits of the Barre method to help achieve a stronger, leaner, and healthier body. My goal is to create a motivating and supportive environment where each student can progress at their own pace, enjoy movement, and achieve their personal goals. Private and group classes available. Class Description: Welcome to a journey into two beautiful South Indian classical art forms — Carnatic Vocal Music and Bharatanatyam! Children are welcome to choose either discipline based on their interest, or explore both. Carnatic Vocal Music: Students will learn the foundations of this classical singing tradition, starting with sarali varisas, janta varisas, alankarams, and gradually progressing to geethams, varnams, and keerthanas. Lessons focus on voice culture, raga identification, tala (rhythm) awareness, and pronunciation of Sanskrit/Tamil/Telugu lyrics, building a strong foundation for confident, expressive singing. Bharatanatyam: Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of this classical dance form, including adavus (basic steps), postures, hand gestures (mudras), facial expressions (abhinaya), and rhythm coordination. As they progress, they will learn small items such as alarippu, jatiswaram, and simple padams/keertanams, developing grace, discipline, and stage confidence. Classes are tailored to each child's age and pace, with a nurturing approach that builds both technical skill and a genuine love for Indian classical arts. No prior experience is necessary — just enthusiasm to learn!

*In contemporary dance classes you can learn from scratch or from whatever level you are at the basics and mechanics of contemporary dance, technique, floorwork and improvisation skills. *In dance fitness and physical conditioning classes, get ready to sweat while enjoying the rhythm of the music you like the most, while we follow exercises and steps that will make you stronger and fitter but without leaving aside the fun and enjoyment. *In routine and choreography classes, get ready to learn and perform different choreographies of different dance and musical styles, with different interpretative and mechanical intentions. An excellent way to work on your interpretation, retention, endurance and versatility as a dancer. In addition to learning new movements, styles, and learning to move to different rhythms and musical styles. Getting out of your comfort zone with dance is always a good idea.

Each class begins with an active warm-up that prepares the body for dancing. Through dynamic exercises, we mobilize muscles and joints, activate energy, and connect with the music, creating a physical and mental foundation for the rest of the session. We then move on to a technical sequence of steps, where we explore styles such as Hip Hop, Afro, Dancehall, and others. You'll learn key movements from each style, working on coordination, musicality, and your own style. Everything is taught progressively, ensuring that everyone can follow the rhythm and enjoy the process. To close the class, we apply what we've learned in a final choreography. This part is not only fun and expressive, but also trains muscle memory, improves fluidity, and strengthens confidence in your body language. No previous experience is required, just a desire to have fun. We celebrate diversity, effort, and personal growth through the art of movement. Come dance, learn, and have fun!
