It is easy to show the student something when it is related to their class assignments as this gives them a general idea as to how they should approach writing related to their project. First of all, I ask the student what they are having difficulty with when it comes to writing. I also have them present me with their assigned school work so I can see what they are requiring to do. It is always a good idea to keep the written examples short and basic for proper understanding. I ask questions based on what is making it hard for the student to write something, and try to get as much feedback from them regarding whatever written assignment they have been given to complete. My goal is to guide the students in the right correction for their understanding, growth as writers, and being successful during their final exams.
