Hello! My name is Jen and I am a session guitar and bass guitar player with over 10 years of professional experience. I have performed in a wide variety of bands, playing genres such as pop, rock, soul, jazz and folk, and using techniques like finger-style, slap, palm muting and picking. It is so important for people of all ages to learn new skills and discover methods of self expression - playing an instrument can be a gateway to enhancing children's development and future life skills. This is why I am so enthusiastic about teaching music to kids but also to anyone wanting to learn. Hello! I'm Enrique, a professional bassist with 25 years of experience. My main activity has been as a composer/producer musician with my bands and personal projects, and as a session musician playing with artists ranging from rock, through jazz and Latin music, carrying out my activity as a teacher in parallel. With a methodology oriented towards mentoring, the student raises his concerns and based on that, work is done using a repertoire related to his musical tastes and complementary exercises in technique, improvisation, composition and musical theory. I also give classes to beginning guitarists where we study through a chosen repertoire, basic theory, chords, rhythms and accompaniments. I'm Mikael half dutch and half Ecuadorian guitar player. Currently I'm based in Madrid where I'm studying my Jazz and Pop Music Interpretation Carreer in Madrid at the Escuela de Música Creativa. I focus and priorize the topics that we will study according to your interests, meaning that we learn through songs and styles that you like. Once your interested in a song, I'll learn you how to analize with active listening in order to understand whats happening inside the song, and then when we'll learn how to play it, you will notice it will be much easier for you. So you can apply this techniques to other music. I also like to motivate my students to improve their playing and knowledges by starting with composition on the guitar as a songwriter. Songwriting will help you to develop you ear training, apply the music theory and listen to music also in a different way.
