Professional Bassist with 19 Years of Experience In Various Styles (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more!)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi, my name is Jeremy and I've played music for 19 years, having performed over 200 concerts and composed with a wide variety of groups and ensembles across England and Belgium in many genres (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more). I have completed 3 years of intensive bass study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and am currently playing bass plus backing-vocals and song arrangement for Kids of the Elephant and Arrubio. In these lessons, I will help you reach your goals while having fun in the process, keeping the lessons structured and tailored to your personal needs. I have 5 years of experience helping students improve as well as specialist knowledge in a multitude of styles. Some examples of what you might learn include: - Correct hand positioning & posture for best performance and faster learning. - Learning your favorite songs quickly and easily. - Breaking down rhythms & dynamics - Understanding the role of bass playing in a band. - Understanding what makes a good bassline and composing your own. - Essential music theory for bass & more advanced techniques (eg: melodic techniques, rhythmic, slap bass, etc) - How to improvise, jam and play with other musicians. Appropriate homework/exercises and recordings are provided during lessons. I also like to give advice and direction for people with musical aspirations. I'm also an empathetic person that loves teaching, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Professional electric bass: groove, technique and real musicality.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Professional electric bass: groove, technique and real musicality.Translate this text using Google Translate.

The classes are geared towards a solid, practical, and creative musical learning experience, where electric bass technique is developed alongside musical sensitivity and a deep understanding of the language of groove. My background as a professional musician includes work in diverse contexts of performance, composition, recording, and ensemble, in genres such as funk, jazz, rock, experimental music, and contemporary fusions, allowing me to offer a realistic perspective on the musical craft from multiple settings. The methodology is adapted to each student's level and objectives. It covers essential fundamentals such as posture, technique, timing, and sound, progressing to more advanced concepts like applied harmony, bass line construction, improvisation, and developing feel. Each class integrates technical exercises, ear training, and immediate musical application to real repertoire, with a practical and progressive approach. The content is organized in a structured yet flexible way, respecting the student's pace without losing pedagogical focus. The goal is for the student to understand music from within: how it is constructed, how it breathes, and how it communicates through the instrument. The approach is engaging, clear, and demanding, fostering discipline, active listening, and creativity. The goal is for students to gain confidence, musical independence, and the ability to express themselves. Rather than simply transmitting information, the process focuses on developing musical and artistic judgment. Each class guides the student in their technical and expressive evolution, helping them build a conscious and personal relationship with the electric bass.

Bass guitar lessons, basles in Enschede, for young and oldTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Basles for young and old Everyone is welcome: young and old. Age does not matter. It is never too late to learn to play a musical instrument. Making music is fun and healthy! Basles for beginners and advanced Everyone is welcome: beginners and advanced. Your entry level doesn't matter. Playing bass guitar is my specialization and I can teach everyone a lot. During a trial lesson we look at what you can already do and what you would like to learn, what your inspirations are and who your idols are. From there we make a plan and we give substance to the lesson. Basles: what do you learn? In consultation with you I give substance to the lesson. Together we will see which music styles, bands and artists you like. We can then choose songs that suit your level and ambitions and I will teach you how to play these songs. Based on the songs and a method book I will teach you the following: -the right attitude -the right techniques -the corresponding theory read notes and tabs read and play chords -training your ears grooves -jams -slaps improvising -flageolettes play You will learn all this in a cozy and casual atmosphere, with professional equipment in my home studio. The lessons are individual, so all attention is focused on you. I also teach in English and French.

Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Lessons! Over 15 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Guitar/Bass/Ukulele Lessons! Over 15 years of teaching experienceTranslate this text using Google Translate.

My main teaching philosophy is to teach students to play the music they enjoy. It sounds like a no-brainer but I have had teachers in the past who only showed me songs that they enjoyed or used method books that teach you "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Hot Crossed Buns" (and if you like those songs then we can learn those). All that to say, whatever the student's goal on the instrument, I will take them step by step until they reach it. For a beginning musician, the fundamentals of the instrument are given the highest priority: how to tune your instrument, names of all the notes, essential chords, basic strumming, playing in time, and understanding basic rhythm. For someone who already plays but needs a little help getting out of the rut, we'll spend time fixing bad technical habits, hammering home the fundamentals, expanding their repertoire, and slowly moving outside of the comfort zone to new horizons. With advanced players, listening (ear training), transcribing, song analysis, exploring advanced theory concepts, and focusing on composition and improvisation are most important. With all levels of students, I make playlists that I update after each lesson so they can hear real examples of what we are covering, as well as provide detailed written notes in TAB and standard notation so they can refer to everything we covered and know what to practice. Also, it's fun!

Can is a great teacher. I took my first guitar lesson with him after learning to play easy things on my own for two years and getting stuck on more difficult things. Can teaches music and guitar from a point of view that makes sense and makes it easier to understand how everything is structured. He can easily pick up mistakes from your playing, point out things to improve and provide excercises to work on those. After only few meetings I feel I have better understanding on the theory behind guitar playing, I feel I have improved technically after being stuck with my progress for quite a while, and I have a drive to learn more again. Would definitely suggest lessons with Can!

Great teacher! I started acoustic guitar lessons from zero and I have learned so much with Sergio, he is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and patient, he also encourage you to keep practicing to achieve your goals while providing you with very useful material to do it. I really recommend Sergio as a music teacher, he plays a lot of instruments.

I'm really glad that I can take bass lessons from Christophe, as a professional bass player, he has really good skills and can adapt easily according to students' levels and preferences. Also, he is really responsible, and he sent the course notes to me very promptly after each lesson, which helped me to memorize better. For questions that I may have about bass, he is also quite responsive, through which I've learnt a lot. I strongly recommend Christophe, for his profession, friendliness, as well as patience and responsibility. And I'm also sure that he will be a good tutor and friend as well in your bass journey.
