Hello (future) musician! Do you also have a song in your head that you would like to play? Always wanted to play electric or acoustic guitar or bass guitar? Have you never touched a string, or are you advanced and looking for new challenges? I have been giving guitar lessons since 2007 with great pleasure. In addition to these private lessons, I worked at the Guitar Academy in Amsterdam, at Muziekles Den Bosch and at Art in Music in Utrecht, next to my work as an executive musician. I studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg and Musicology at Utrecht University. Broad interests, reflected in the hoevelheid styles I play and education (from pop and rock to salsa, tango and gypsy to metal and jazz). I also give solfège and music theory. It does not matter how exotic your interest, I can help you get better! In addition, I can choose and arrange songs for you, so that there is no limit to your imagination: learn to play what you want to learn to play. These lessons are not given in a large, impersonal music school: lesson duration and lesson dates are discussed and are flexible. Personal and smooth, easier for everyone. Besides guitar enthusiast teaching is a big passion of mine, and I think that is essential to be able to offer good lessons. Whether I teach you how to play your first songs in a few lessons, or whether we are going to pick up some tough pieces, it is a pleasant and productive learning process. Lessons in Wittevrouwen, Utrecht or at extra cost at home. If you have questions, mail or call!

I have played guitar and bass in various bands for the majority of my life and am eager to share what I've learned with others who share my passion for music. I love soul, jazz, blues, rock, funk, metal ,hip-hop, punk, reggae, folk, pop, gospel, disco, indie...just about EVERYTHING! I cater for any ages, musical interests and experience with your instrument. Learning a new instrument can be challenging for beginners so in my classes, I make sure we have a balance of theory and practice. We will learn musical ideas and spend time making music and having fun with these ideas. For people with some experience playing bass or guitar, learning theory or focusing on technique may be challenging. We will learn at your pace and make sure that every lesson has time for us to play freely together and improvise using what we have been studying. The whole point of music is to enjoy it and a really good way to make sure you keep practising your instrument, is to learn how to have fun while practising! Join me in helping find that perfect balance, making you a better musician and maintaining your love for music!

Either working on the fundamentals of bass or guitar, left/right hand techniques, a specific song or even developing a more advanced playing, I always strive to bring insight and enjoyment over our music practice, I believe this is essential to connect with our creativity in a practical way, and massively improve our playing. Normally, a lesson would be part of a cycle of lessons, involving a strategy specially adapted to the student’s needs, in that sense, we will work towards the music you are into, and grow in specific areas of your music practice and playing.

Hi! My name is Matteo, I'm a professional bassist from Brussels, currently based in Amsterdam. I perform and have performed with renowned musicians and bands from many different scenes and styles, bringing me to venues all over the world (USA, UK, Germany, Denmark, France, Romania, Portugal, Spain...). I have a deep passion for music ever since I started playing 16 years ago, and would like to share it with you! Bass is the best! And I want to help you uncover it's full potential. I believe the best way to learn music is to study what you love, and always work from a place of curiosity and passion. Therefore, we will always look together for ways of making the process the most enjoyable and tackle different topics through the music YOU love. The classes are tailored to each individual student: we find the best workflow for you, and adapt the lessons. If you need structure and a clear program, I can provide that; but if you prefer to keep it loose and see as we go, it's all good. All that matters is your continued motivation and progress. Among other things, we can focus on: -Basic technique on the instrument -Learning songs of your choice, with a method that will allow you to learn songs by yourself later on. -Learn about different styles: Pop, Rock, Funk, Soul, Metal, Jazz... -Develop your understanding of music through the instrument (scales, arpeggios...) -Creativity, and improvisation through the use of the material we have studied together -Ear training and music theory -Rhythm, all the way from basic to very advanced -Basic compositional techniques, or fun ways to start composing I have been teaching privately for the past 6 years, with very happy students. I can also teach online if it's better, I also have regular online students with whom we are making great progress. For the lesson, there is no need to bring an instrument: I can lend you one. Looking forward to meeting you!

As a student in a double master's program in electric bass pedagogy (jazz + contemporary music) at the Lausanne University of Music, I offer bass lessons. My experience playing in very varied ensembles and styles (chamber music, metal groups, rock, funk, Cuban, gospel, tango, orchestras, big jazz band, etc.) and with various musical instruments has allowed me to allowed us to develop a versatile musical approach. I followed a classical conservatory course in guitar and saxophone, then a jazz course in saxophone and jazz bass, and I am currently studying in a double course in jazz + contemporary music at the university of music in electric bass. In parallel, I have worked as a teacher and researcher in acoustics at various universities, following a master's degree and a doctorate in acoustics and applied sciences to music. During my lessons, I guide the student through a progressive and structured educational approach while guiding him or her in learning pieces that correspond to their objectives. I offer a lot of duets to raise awareness about playing together. Finally, I try to transmit a musical sensitivity that will allow the student to flourish in various musical contexts.

I have been teaching piano, guitar, bass and singing for more than 10 years to students of all ages, I like to work on a register oriented on the tastes of the student to ensure his motivation, while giving him the best bases and technical elements necessary for its progression. I work on the practice of the instrument above all, with moments devoted to the development of the ear as well as a little musical theory. I teach the basics of music theory, and use tablatures (guitar reference system) for guitar and bass lessons. I spend a lot of time in the studio and unfortunately take few students, but I still have a few places left! I also teach in English!

Bass lessons for beginners. I can help you get familiar with the fretboard, some scales and why we use them, and essential techniques. Can teach rock, funk, blues, bossa nova and jazz, but if there's something specific you want I can do that too! I played bass in my school band back in Ireland and have jammed with my friends over the years. Ideal for people just starting and looking to get on their feet!
