I am 5th year medical student with clinical experience, some previous tutoring experience and a plethora of knowledge. I can teach in English language a variety of medical sciences including Anatomy, Cytology, Histology, Biology, Pharmacology, Pathology and others. learning about the functions and inner workings of life has always been my passion since I was a little girl; so much so that I am currently pursuing a degree in medicine . I was a student who struggled with tremendous anxiety due to a lack of confidence and the inability to believe in herself; that is why I believe my purpose is to help a child understand the subject to the point where they enjoy learning, and remove the blocks of fear and unconfidence that may be holding them back. I scored both a 9 at IGCSE as well as an A* in A level biology thus, have concise and clear notes ready to supply and teach thoroughly to the best of my ability. My goal is to help with exam practise, ensure complete and thorough understanding however long it may take, and work on skills such as critical thinking. I will also try my best to provide help with stress, fear as well as any other blocks that may be preventing them from succeeding academically. I have tutored before, and also worked in various lab settings and hospitals for personal to broaden my knowledge and experience further.

In this class, I will provide interactive Anatomy & Physiology teaching, which would include: videos, animations, examples, and analogies. The session will consist of different ways to approach complicated topic matters to boost learning at different levels. Near the end of the session, a questionnaire will be performed to review the learning. Also, facultative homework will be given to solidify what has been learned.

My aim is to provide you with the anatomical knowledge you will need as a Yoga and Pilates teacher to develop confidence in your delivery of class. I have seen Yoga teachers feel worried with lots of unknowns and apprehension of stepping into the world of teaching. I was a Physiotherapist in Private practice for 15 years and the anatomy was drilled in through 1000's of hours of working with Clients. We will learn in a fun style touching on main muscle groups to focus on, biomechanics, common encountered problems we face, posture, tissue health, how Yoga can be used as a tool for the desired outcomes in health. We will cover meridians (acupuncture), fascia structure, alignment and the how the nervous system plays an integral role in deciding how your class will go.

Biology is a very beautiful science but very wide with material. Through the course I aim for students to learn in a concise way through notes and also I have designed lectures accompanied by exercises for each type of topic that students need as well as illustrative videos to facilitate memorization of the material. Anatomy is at the core of a understanding how our body works the way it does. It is a truly fascinating subject with lots of content to delve into! There are many different areas of anatomy and the classes can revolve around these systems, they include: Muscular system Skeletal system Digestive system Respiratory system Nervous system & many more This class will allow you to chose which area of anatomy you want to focus on, or if you would like a more general approach to learning that is perfectly fine. The classes can be tailored to exactly what you are interested in learning! I like to teach in a lecture format and I will have a presentation ready for the class from which you can take notes and I can pass on these presentation notes to you if you wish. With that said, I like to make my classes interactive exchange of ideas/ questions so that the learning really embeds. These classes will be a great way of expanding your knowledge of human anatomy and asking any questions you may have. Furthermore, I am more than happy to give advice on the medical application process and the content of these classes will be the type of thing that comes up in medical school learning and potentially even in a BMAT exam!
