My passion for sharing knowledge was evident throughout my studies. Having a background in Russian/Soviet violin school, my goal is to teach everyone the principles of violin playing I stand behind so that they can apply this knowledge themselves and in doing so, acquire independence. In other words – teach a man to fish! Years ago, along with my studies, I dived into performance psychology research as I was so intrigued by it! It would make me happy to be able to share this amazing knowledge on the art of performing and getting into the zone when playing to audiences. Besides enjoying teaching children and adult beginners, I feel that my strongest value is in working with advanced students, where my knowledge and guidance can have an immense impact on their musical life. I strongly believe in guiding each person towards individuality and finding their own unique expression, their voice, rather than making them a copy of their teacher. Technique serves a purpose only to enable our soul to express itself freely... Being able to inspire others is one of the greatest gifts. After each lesson, my students will have clear practice instructions to achieve all their musical dreams!

My primary goal is to instill a passion for music in the next generation, helping students not only grow as musicians but also as confident performers. I have guided many students to success in ABRSM exams, from Grade 1 to Grade 8, including the latest online exam format. These courses are primarily aimed at beginners or false beginners wishing to learn the violin on a solid foundation, in a progressive and motivating way. Trained in classical and chamber music by a conservatory professor, I have developed an approach to the violin that is both rigorous and accessible, always keeping the pleasure of playing as the objective. We work on the essential fundamentals: posture, bow hold, intonation, tone, and basic musicality. Emphasis is placed on a clear progression adapted to each student. Each lesson is personalized according to your pace and objectives, whether it's to discover the instrument, consolidate the basics or evolve towards a more expressive style of playing. Courses are available in French or English.

Tijdens de lessen staat een ontspannen en natuurlijke houding centraal, want dat is de basis voor een mooie en vrije klank. Ik besteed veel aandacht aan een verfijnde streektechniek, een zuivere intonatie en het aanleren van een soepel, expressief vibrato. Door mijn muzikale opvoeding ben ik bovendien goed thuis in de Kodály-methode, waardoor het verbinden van zang met instrumentale techniek een heel natuurlijk onderdeel is van mijn manier van lesgeven. Wanneer nodig begeleid ik mijn leerlingen ook op de piano, wat het samen muziek maken extra toegankelijk en inspirerend maakt. Mijn doel is om in een geduldige en persoonlijke sfeer jouw muzikaliteit tot bloei te laten komen – of je nu net begint of je techniek verder wilt verdiepen. Hello! My name is Denis, and I am a violinist currently pursuing my Master's degree in Classical Music. I've been playing the violin for many years and have a passion for teaching others to explore their own musical abilities. My lessons are adaptable to all levels, whether you are just beginning or already have some experience with the violin. In my classes, we will focus on developing proper technique and exploring a range of musical styles such as classical, folk, or even modern music. I incorporate music theory into lessons to ensure you have a comprehensive understanding of the pieces you are playing. Whether you're young or old, beginner or advanced, I tailor my teaching methods to suit each student's individual goals and learning style. If you are interested in playing with others, I also offer chamber music coaching for small groups. If you don’t yet have a violin, I can help you find one to buy or rent. Online lessons via Skype are also an option if you prefer remote learning.
