The violin is an instrument that speaks directly to the imagination. Many people dream of playing it — whether inspired by classical music, film soundtracks, folk music, or simply the beauty of its sound. Maybe you are discovering the violin for the first time, or perhaps you would like to reconnect with the instrument after playing it in childhood. Whatever your starting point, you are warmly welcome to begin or continue your musical journey with me. As a conservatory-trained musician with teaching experience at beginner and intermediate level, I guide students through the fundamentals of violin playing in a clear, patient, and supportive way. Together we work on posture, bow technique, intonation, rhythm, sound production, musicality, and developing confidence with the instrument. For me, learning the violin is not only about technique, but also about expression and finding your own voice through music. Every student has a different personality, sensitivity, and way of learning, so I adapt each lesson to your individual needs, goals, and pace. I believe music should feel alive, inspiring, and enjoyable. My teaching style is positive, flexible, and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable exploring, making mistakes, and gradually building a genuine connection with the violin and with music itself.

I graduated from Viola at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Brussels, and also as a music Professor for all levels from the Conservatory of Buenos Aires (Argentina), specialized in viola.I have experience teaching music to kids through games, in school orchestras or privately. I also teach adults, adjusting the class to their interests and needs. During the lessons, the student will also learn music theory integrated with the instrument class.

I am a professional violinist and chamber musician with a Konzertexamen in Violin Performance and Chamber Music from the University of Trossingen (Germany). I also hold a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) and am currently studying Viola at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK). Alongside my academic training, I am active as an orchestral musician and regularly perform with the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien. My performing experience helps me guide students not only technically, but also musically and artistically. With my international performing and academic experience, I aim to help students build strong technical foundations, develop musical expression, and gain confidence in performance. Lessons can also focus on exam preparation, audition repertoire, chamber music coaching, and concert programs. I am a professional violinist and teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with students from young beginners through to ATCL diploma level. I trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège in the Franco-Belgian violin tradition and currently perform with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra. My teaching combines strong technical foundations with listening, musical curiosity and confidence. Growing up in Hong Kong, I began my own violin studies with the Suzuki Method, and I am now continuing my training in Suzuki pedagogy. I particularly value its emphasis on learning through listening, positive encouragement and developing good habits naturally. I want lessons to be enjoyable and encouraging, while still giving students the tools to become thoughtful and independent musicians. My experience includes individual teaching as well as orchestras, bands and ensembles, so rhythm, listening to others and making music together are also important parts of my teaching. Lessons are adapted to each student's age, level and goals, whether learning for enjoyment or preparing for exams, competitions and performances. Previous students have progressed from beginner to ATCL level, with several receiving prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

Ik besteed veel aandacht aan een verfijnde streektechniek, een zuivere intonatie en het aanleren van een soepel, expressief vibrato. Door mijn muzikale opvoeding ben ik bovendien goed thuis in de Kodály-methode, waardoor het verbinden van zang met instrumentale techniek een heel natuurlijk onderdeel is van mijn manier van lesgeven. Wanneer nodig begeleid ik mijn leerlingen ook op de piano, wat het samen muziek maken extra toegankelijk en inspirerend maakt. Mijn doel is om in een geduldige en persoonlijke sfeer jouw muzikaliteit tot bloei te laten komen – of je nu net begint of je techniek verder wilt verdiepen. Hello and thank you for visiting this website! I'm an established, qualified, and experienced violin teacher who has worked in London for the last 26 years. I'm now back in Belgium for some new musical adventures, as well as to meet new students. I welcome students from the age of four to adults. I have a real passion for transmitting my love of music, and I like to have a creative, playful and holistic approach to teaching. I also play the piano and often use it for aural training or to accompany my students (or do violin duets). I do believe that music is not just for competitions or exams but a skill for life that can bring tremendous joy, discoveries, friends and fun along the way. Learning an instrument is also a great way to foster different qualities such as patience, diligence, presence, resilience, deep listening and the ability to express and share our emotions with others. Having explored many different violin methods and styles, I take a different approach according to each student. I like to teach a solid classical technique with some scales, studies and pieces, but there are many different ways to make music enjoyable or find other paths depending on the student's goal. Although I was trained classically in Belgian Conservatoires and the Guildhall School of Music, I do like to teach a variety of music that is not just classical (Celtic, world, klezmer, jazz, tango, film music, pop...). I often encourage my students to compose or improvise freely. In the last two decades, I have led many youth orchestras and violin workshops and worked for many different primary and secondary schools in England.
