The only requirement is that you own an instrument; for children, I can help you choose the right size and explain everything clearly. Classes are tailored to each student—you can start with the basics, work on existing material, or expand your skills. I also offer piano lessons, music theory, and ear training. With regular practice, you'll learn to play cleanly, rhythmically, and with pleasure. In my teaching, I combine musical experience, passion, and psychological knowledge to make lessons effective and engaging. I offer lessons at home or in my space in Lancy, and the duration of the lessons is adapted to the needs of each student. I especially encourage students to meet with other students in order to get to know each other on a human level. An alum of the ABRSM, Suzuki, American and European conservatory systems (Masters with Magna cum Laude), and relentlessly studying to become better and better every week, I filter through 'The Book' to find the most effective and efficient way for the individual learner. I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students. My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music. In addition, I naturally also teach the classical violin repertoire. Lessons cover playing technique, bowing, intonation, vibrato, scales, musical expression, and efficient practice. I'm happy to support you with entrance exams, competitions, orchestra auditions, or when learning new pieces. Each lesson is individually tailored to your goals and skill level. I am studying violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw).
